Jack Black looks like a model in pre-fame pictures

Jack Black looked like a model in pre-fame picture taken of him aged 23.

An image shared by Instagram account Bigdreams.in on Thursday shows the actor, now 56, looking worlds apart from the persona fans know today. 

Gone are his long black locks and grey beard, replaced by a chiselled jawline and a buzz cut.

The image was taken of Jack in 1992, while he was starting to make his mark in Hollywood.

Fans took to the comments to gush over the star’s looks in his youth, penning: ‘Those cheek bones!!’

‘He actually has that model face for those high end fashion brands’,

‘Hot damn’,

‘He looks so handsome when he was young’,

‘Actually, Elle Fanning is right. Jack Black is hot’,

‘I mean he was a different kind of hot back then. Like a sexy dangerous hot. Now he’s this more teddy bear hot!’

It comes after Jack shared a heartfelt tribute to his wife Tanya Haden as they celebrated their 20-year wedding anniversary.

The actor took to Instagram in February and posted several snaps of the couple and their children Samuel, 19, and Thomas, 17, over the years.

In one photo, the pair pulled silly faces while looking into each other’s eyes, while another saw them laughing together while Tanya, 54, sat on Jack’s lap. 

Jack also posted snaps of the couple’s sons when they were little and another of Tanya in a pool and sat on a swing in a tropical location.

Alongside the post, he wrote: ’20 years! Happy anniversary my love. @tanyahaden’. 

Jack and Tanya, who is an artist and musician, first met during high school in Santa Monica, California.

‘I just was always in awe of them,’ Jack said of Tanya and her sisters on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast.

‘And we would cross paths, and I had a girlfriend, and she had a boyfriend and it was just a little talking here and there. And then that day came when neither of us had a significant other.’

‘I had always been so kind of intimidated and never really wanted to really approach — she made the first move is the point.’

Jack told how they both attended a surprise birthday party for a mutual friend and Tanya approached him and asked if he wanted to get dinner and gave him her number.  

‘And I was like, oh my God. Heaven opened up above my head, because it was like, this is the thing that I would always want to happen,’ he said. 

The couple married in 2006, barely a year after they started dating. 

‘We started getting very serious, and the relationship hit the ground running,’ Jack explained. ‘It’s like we were making up for lost time.’

Although they both wanted children, Jack and Tanya were originally not planning on getting married, before the actor’s brother made him change his mind.

‘We didn’t get married because it was like, [we] don’t really believe in the contract and that whole thing. Why is it necessary? And then as soon as she had a baby in her belly, my brother was like, “What the hell are you — you marry her!”‘ Jack said.

‘I was like, you’re right, dude. I got on bended knee and she laughed and said yes.’ 

He attributed the success of their relationship to having known each other for so long prior to dating. 

‘We didn’t date or really even talk, but I remember her and her sister[s]. She’s a triplet. And just loving the whole family. I just thought they had a real vibe,’ he said.
