ITV’s Claer Barrett couldn’t stop beaming as she showed off her whopping four-stone weight loss on Wednesday’s episode of Lorraine.

The financial journalist, who regularly features on the ITV show to give tips and tricks on how to save money, proudly displayed her slim frame in a plunging pink dress as she starred in a segment with fashion expert Mark Heyes, 48.

The pair appeared in the studio to help others revamp their wardrobe after shifting the pounds.

Money guru Claer has previously been very open about her use of weight loss jabs on the programme, and has now dropped four dress sizes – which means none of her clothes fit her.

Introducing the segment to viewers, Lorraine said: ‘Our Claer has joined me alongside Mark, it comes after she revealed on the show she lost four stone after using weight loss jabs. Loved it. She was so open about that..

‘Obviously one of the big changes when that happens is that most of your old clothes don’t fit anymore. A nice problem to have…’

Speaking about her weight loss with Mark, Claer said: ‘I feel healthier, which is why I did this. But also poorer, because none of my clothes fit me.

‘In my head I am still a size 20. Whereas in actual fact, as a size 14, I could go into any high street store now…’

So Mark got her to try on some mom jeans paired with a very flattering white t-shirt, a jumpsuit and biker jacket, as well as a tight red sparkling midi dress.

Afterwards the trio chatted about a number of different apps, including Vinted, to sell old clothes that you can’t wear anymore due to weight loss.

Claer also confessed she went to her local tailor to alter her pink plunging dress, as it didn’t fit her anymore.

Lorriane told her: ‘It fits you to perfection. That’s the thing, when you walked in I went: “Oh my God! You look great.”‘

The Scottish presenter also pointed out: ‘We should also say there is a lot of controversy about these jabs. You’ve said it as well Claer, you’ve talked about it…

‘You don’t just take the jab and that’s it. You have to actually change your life style, have to exercise more and eat properly.

‘That’s what you did… and look at the results. It’s wonderful!’

Claer previously appeared on Lorraine to talk about using Mounjaro, after she started using it in November 2024.

Lorraine asked her: ‘Why did you do the jab?’

Claer explained: ‘Well the short answer Lorraine, I was obese. I had a BMI, a body mass index of 37, which was far too high. Anything 30 or over, you’re obese.

‘You’re in the danger zone for diabetes. I wasn’t prediabetic, but that was something I was really worried bout.

‘I had one rogue high blood pressure reading when I was under a lot of stress at work and made me think..

‘I write about longevity, about retirement, about health life expectancy. This is the big thing for us coming down the tracks, you now, if we’re going to be living for longer and working longer.

‘We need to stay healthier for longer. So I took a calculated risk, I knew there were side effects.’

She explained that she didn’t have any bad side effects, but told her work that she was on the jabs in case anything did happen.

The TV star also paid £200 a month for her Mounjaro subscription.

Claer continued: ‘I have totally overhauled my lifestyle, diet, exercise, where I was going wrong… portion size. You get used to that!

‘All of sudden you’re eating more food and you don’t need as many calories as you get older.

‘Also, convenience foods, you know, somebody who works, burns the candle at both ends of the day, you turn to the food that is there, so it’s toast, sandwiches, get home at night, pasta.

‘Or indeed, takeaways…’

Claer used Mounjaro, which is the brand name of a drug called tirzepatide, made by US pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly.

The drug is taken once a week via an injection and helps boost the production of insulin, the hormone that regulates blood sugar, to control type 2 diabetes.

Mounjaro patients typically start on a 2.5mg-dose injection once per week for four weeks.

This dose is gradually bumped up by an additional 2.5mg every four weeks.

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 from 9am and is available to stream on ITVX.
