Is Meghan Markle about to launch her own clothing range?

Meghan Markle could be on the verge of launching her own clothing range, the Daily Mail can reveal.

A new ‘sizing chart’ for T-shirts has popped up on the As Ever website – including ‘plus size’ options – despite Meghan’s business not currently selling any garments.

It suggests any clothing range will go up to 5xl for adults, which typically fits someone weighing up to 25 stone [350lbs].

The new sizing section for her online lifestyle business – only known for jam, candles, chocolate, wine and flower sprinkles – also contains a chart for children’s shirts down to toddler sizes.

One experienced royal watcher told the Daily Mail today that it is obvious As Ever will soon sell clothes – unless it is a PR stunt.

But the expert warned the Duchess that any potential T-shirt or shirt range is unlikely to make her money.

According to the new As Ever size charts, adult clothing would be in nine sizes, from xs to 5xl. Designs will all be ‘unisex’.

There is also separate ‘kids’ size chart – and another one for toddlers.

A spokesman for the Duchess of Sussex declined to comment.

Meghan is alleged to be ‘spiralling badly’ because she fears ‘nothing is working’ with her business ventures.

But the Duchess of Sussex may be about to roll the dice again with T-shirts.

Self-proclaimed fashionista Meghan was missing from the most dazzling evening in the fashion calendar – the Met Gala in New York – a week ago today.

Since 1995, the Met Gala has been organised and presided over by Dame Anna Wintour, who met the King and Queen days earlier, and apparently ‘turned against’ Meghan shortly after she married Harry.

This year Lauren Sanchez Bezos and her Amazon billionaire husband Jeff were lead sponsors and honorary co-chairs of the gala.

‘She [Meghan] snubbed Lauren before the [Bezos] wedding. Meghan was invited to things by Lauren and didn’t want to go. She didn’t want to be seen with her because she thought she was trashy’, a source told the Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff.

The Sussexes were also absent from all events during King Charles’s state visit to the US the week before.

A cover story in People magazine published at the same time said their trip to Australia is being hailed as the blueprint for the couple’s new working model.

Speaking to sources in California, the story told of the couple’s life is one of wall-to-wall fallouts and alienation.

Meghan and Harry no longer have any bridges left to burn, the Daily Mail’s source said.

The insider added: ‘They have truly lost the plot. I hear she’s spiralling badly because she knows nothing is working. The whole thing about her [As Ever] stuff selling out isn’t true any more. I don’t think either of them are happy.’

The source said they believe the couple’s problems are worse than many suspect because of Meghan and Harry’s unfortunate habit of falling out with the very people who could help them make a go of things financially.

One of the prime figures in this list is Anna Wintour, who attended a charity gala with Charles and Camilla in New York during their state visit.

Ms Wintour was at the Met Gala.

The source says Dame Anna turned against Meghan in 2019 when she collaborated with then British Vogue editor Edward Enninful on a ‘Forces for Change’ issue of the magazine.

‘Meghan pledged her allegiance to Enninful which p***ed off Anna,’ said the source, adding: ‘Anna hates her.’

A source suggests Meghan has also failed to make a potentially useful friend in Lauren Sanchez Bezos.

Other powerful figures offended by Meghan are the Kardashians, who are also close to Lauren.

The family’s matriarch Kris Jenner had her 70th birthday party at the Bezos house in LA in November last year.

A row then blew up over pictures of them posted on social media by Jenner but later removed, apparently after a request by the Sussexes.

The Sussexes denied they had asked for them to come down; Jenner’s daughter Kim Kardashian said the opposite was true.

As a result, says a source, the Kardashians have also had enough of Harry and Meghan: ‘The Kardashians are over them.’

Kris Jenner, one of the most influential figures in the world on social media, hasn’t liked a single post on Meghan’s Instagram pages since last year.

The Duchess of Sussex has explained the controversial decision to partner with a global fashion marketplace, suggesting it was about the ‘correct designer’ being credited.

In a new interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly following her quasi-royal tour of Down Under, Meghan, 44, told how ‘fashion is one of the most powerful industries’.

It came after criticism when the ‘look’ she wore when meeting survivors of the Bondi beach massacre was immediately put on the OneOff website, where she is paid a percentage from sales.

She said: ‘Even if you don’t say a word, you can convey something in what you wear. Over the last several years, I would hear about an incorrect designer getting credit for something I wore, either via affiliate links or press, and that never seemed fair.

‘Credit where credit is due. These brands and designers work so hard and take great pride in their work, and I choose them for a reason.

‘Either supporting a friend, being brand loyal… So it’s always been important to me that the correct designer is credited.’
