Introducing football’s glamorous new Premier League POWER couple

For a long time Alisha Lehmann and Douglas Luiz represented football’s most prominent power couple.

The pair first sent fans wild back in 2021 when they sparked up a romance during their time together at Aston Villa – Lehmann playing for the women and Luiz for the men.

And when the Brazilian midfielder sealed a move to Juventus in 2024, their whirlwind relationship continued on Italian shores as the ‘world’s sexiest player’ Lehmann also signed for the Old Lady.

However their shocking break up earlier this month has paved the way for a new power couple to capture the intrigue of football fans – and there’s one duo who could do just do that.

Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi, 28, and Cherries women’s star Kelci-Rose Bowers, 21, are thought to have started dating in the summer of 2024 – but they’ve now blossomed into arguably football’s most glamorous lovebirds.

Bowers had moved west to the Vitality Stadium on loan from Portsmouth a few short months earlier. The Cherries’ announcement of her signing went viral, gaining more than 21 million views in a matter of days.

For a long time Alisha Lehmann and Douglas Luis were two halves of football's biggest power couple

However there's a glamorous new couple in town - and they both play for Bournemouth

For Bowers is not just a footballer but also a model who lives a glamorous lifestyle when she’s not slipping into her Nike Mercurial boots on the south coast.

In 2024 she was reportedly signed to modelling agency FORTE and regularly enjoys lavish trips on the continent. Only a matter of weeks ago, Bowers and Senesi jetted off to Ibiza for a well-earned summer break.

Images shared to her Instagram, on which she boasts some 155,000 followers, show the two stars enjoying a romantic getaway filled with sun and idyllic blue waters.

Indeed, since they first sparked up a romance, Senesi has featured regularly on his new love interest’s Instagram page.

Only last week, between Bournemouth’s clashes with Man City and Nottingham Forest, the South American spent a wholesome day out pumpkin picking in snaps shared on Bowers’ social media.

And when she’s not donning the red and black of Bournemouth herself, Bowers is often spotted in the stands at grounds around the country supporting Senesi on his travels with the first-team.

It seems the pair are perfectly suited – and there may be good reason for that. Both Senesi and Bowers play centre-back for the Cherries, though they learned their trades in very different quarters.

While the Argentine progressed through the San Lorenzo academy in a small suburb of Buenos Aires, Bowers paved her career in women’s football in the small southern town of Fareham, between Southampton and Portsmouth.

While Kelci-Rose may indeed be best known for her prowess on the pitch, she's also a model off it

When she's not playing for the women's team, the blonde centre-back can often be seen following her boyfriend's games up and down the country

She later enjoyed spells in the Under-21s at Chelsea and across the pond for Louisiana State University before earning a move back to England to play for Portsmouth and now Bournemouth.

Senesi meanwhile eventually made the switch to European football when he joined Dutch giants Feyenoord in the summer of 2019.

The silky centre-half went on to make some 116 appearances for the club before signing for Bournemouth in 2022.

And it’s on the south coast where Senesi has really gone from strength to strength. He’s racked up a century of appearances for the Cherries and played a crucial part in securing their record ninth-placed Premier League finish last term.

Little has changed at the Vitality so far this season despite the losses of Milos Kerkez and Dean Huijsen. Andoni Iraola’s team currently sit fifth in the league after a once again promising start to the season, with Senesi at the centre of their success.

Bowers’ Bournemouth women meanwhile find themselves top of the Women’s National League Southern Division after not losing a single one of their opening nine games of the season.
