The hidden signs Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor were on the rocks

After seven years of marriage it was revealed on Monday that Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor have called it quits on their relationship.

Originally meeting when they were just teenagers, the pair first dated during E4’s Made In Chelsea.

In 2013, the heiress married rapper Professor Green, 42, but the couple divorced in 2016, the same year she rekindled her relationship with Hugo.

The pair tied the knot two years later in 2018 and welcomed their first daughter, Sienna, in 2020, followed by Aurelia in 2021.

However over the past few months there have been signs that all was not well with the pair’s relationship.

Ditching her wedding ring, Millie has recently shared a number of cryptic Instagram posts focusing on herself and explaining how she was prioritising her boundaries.

Meanwhile the star also headed to India last week on a solo wellness retreat designed to ‘heal’ the nervous system.

At the beginning of the year Millie hopped on the ‘What are you leaving behind in 2025?’ trend.

Among a selection of snaps of herself she penned she would be leaving behind ‘relationships that cost me’ and ‘over-explaining my boundaries’.

In now what appears to be a cryptic message she also added ‘not trusting my intuition,’ ‘guilt for choosing myself’ and ‘letting fear hold me back’ to her list.

She concluded that 2026 would be the year of ‘calm, clarity and self-trust’.

In another pointed post she wished her followers a happy new year as she gushed that she was ready to be ‘my own cheerleader’.

In a lengthy caption she penned: ‘Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, I wanted to share some of the intentions I’m hoping to bring into 2026:

‘*Protecting my nervous system like it matters (because it does). *Saying no sooner. Saying yes more slowly. *Choosing consistency over intensity.

‘*Building more of a connection with my audience . *Trusting myself without asking for permission. *Listening to my body, not overriding it.

Full embracing her ‘new self’ in January, Millie shared that this year ‘I am not shrinking, I am shredding’ as she explained she was letting go of the weight of others.

Millie also jumped on the 2016 throwback social media trend as she celebrated her career wins and personal highlights, including her Women’s Health shoot and a  Glastonbury ad holiday to Cape Town.

However she failed to mention 2016 as the year she rekindled her relationship with Hugo following her divorce from Professor Green.

Hugo has also stopped writing gushing comments on her Instagram posts and he hasn’t appeared on her social media since Millie’s family post at Christmas.

He also appears to have taken a break from social media and hasn’t posted since Christmas day following numerous family snaps in November.

Last week Millie travelled to India last week to attend the Ayurveda wellness retreat designed to ‘heal’ the nervous system while Hugo was on a skiing holiday.

Instead of 'losing weight' in the new year, she said she would be losing 'the weight of overthinking' and 'being the strong one'

During her stay, the reality star, who was pictured without her wedding ring, shared several posts alluding to a new chapter in her life.

She candidly penned: ‘I didn’t expect it to break me open I came here for a reset. I didn’t realise how much I needed to feel.’

She added: ‘The silence is louder than you expect. When everything goes quiet… you meet yourself again.’

In another snap, Millie floated in a pool in a green bikini as she was held up by one of the therapists.

She explained: ‘The rituals are deeply grounding. Warm oils. Water therapy Being held, literally and emotionally’.

On Sunday, she posted a quote that read: ‘You don’t always have to know what comes next in your journey.

‘Sometimes you just need to be where you are and know that it’s okay to be there. There is so much beauty in accepting yourself, right here, in this moment.

‘No matter what you are working towards, I hope you can always remember that finding peace in the present moment is just as important as the path ahead.’

The Daily Mail revealed on Monday that the Made In Chelsea couple have quietly separated following a difficult start to the year.

Sources close to the pair say they remain committed to co-parenting their young children, who continue to be their priority, and to maintaining a loving family life.

A source revealed: ‘Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split.

‘They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it’s better for them both to part ways.

‘Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen.

‘At present, they are considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children.

‘It’s been an incredibly difficult start to the year, and one they hope to continue managing in private.’

The Daily Mail has contacted Millie and Hugo’s representatives for comment.
