Melania radiates power as she drops ultra-glam trailer for new film

Melania Trump has released a trailer for her new movie, which offers unprecedented access to her private life in the run-up to her husband’s return to the White House.

The 104-minute film, titled Melania, will hit theaters worldwide on January 30, chronicling the dramatic 20 days leading up to Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Amazon secured the film for $40 million – the largest documentary deal in history – after beating rivals Disney, Netflix and Paramount in a ferocious bidding war.

The trailer opens with a showstopping moment as the First Lady prepares to stride into the Capitol rotunda in her now-iconic inauguration ensemble.

‘Here we go again,’ she says, giving a knowing smile to the camera beneath her showstopping wide-brimmed black hat.

The footage shows Melania in her element, ascending the stairs to her private jet in sky-high stilettos, marshaling business meetings in Mar-a-Lago and Manhattan, and stunning in her white-and-black inaugural ball gown in the East Wing.

Behind-the-scenes footage captures tender family moments with son Barron and her father, while also shining a light on the rigorous security standards that surround the First Family.

The trailer ratchets tension as motorcades with blaring sirens race through the streets of New York.

‘Is it safe?’ Melania asks her security detail during one intense scene.

In another fascinating vignette, the First Lady interrupts her husband as he rehearses a speech.

‘My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,’ Trump says, before his wife interjects to add: ‘Peacemaker and unifier.’

The intimate footage reveals how the power couple speak privately.

Melania calls her husband from the penthouse at Trump Tower in Manhattan.

‘Hi, Mr President,’ she beams. ‘Congratulations.’

Trump replies with energy and enthusiasm, ‘Did you watch it?’

Melania says casually, ‘I did not. Yeah, I will see it on the news.’

The idea for the movie was born immediately after Trump’s election victory, with negotiations beginning just days later on November 18 last year.

The First Lady has been hands-on with every aspect of the production and insisted on cinematic excellence.

She did not want it to feel like a regular documentary, but an ‘elevated film.’

‘The 20 days of my life, preceding the US Presidential inauguration, constitute a rare and defining moment—one that warrants meticulous care, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship,’ Melania explained.

‘I am proud to share this very specific moment of my life—20 days of intense transition and planning—with moviegoers and fans across the globe.’

Marc Beckman, Melania’s agent and top adviser, led the high-stakes negotiations with Amazon boss Andy Jassy.

‘I’m honored to be working with Amazon – they’ve been great partners from the minute we started to negotiate the deal, through production and now as we gear up for the film’s release,’ Beckman said.

The film marks another milestone for the First Lady following the release of her memoir, also titled Melania, which has dominated the New York Times bestseller list since its release.

The trailer concludes with Melania revealing why she wanted to make the film as she navigates a second term with the shrewd experience about the scrutiny that comes with the role.

‘Everyone wants to know. So here it is,’ she says.
