Helen Flanagan has admitted she is feeling ‘deflated’ after struggling with mum guilt and her ADHD this festive period amid her feud with her ex Scott Sinclair.

The former Coronation Street actress, 35, took to Instagram on New Year’s Eve as she opened up about feeling ‘rubbish about myself.’

She told fans: ‘If I am being honest I just feel so deflated in mood today. I just feel like I have just gone like this [gestured her hand going down] and I feel like that is ok.

‘I think my ADHD is so in overdrive and I feel like the older I get I actually realise the more severe my ADHD is.

‘Like the older I am getting the more I feel like I need to have my sh*t together, so then I feel more rubbish about myself.’

She continued: ‘I really loved panto and the social aspect of it and how fun it was being back performing. But it takes me a bit of time when something is over to go into the next transition.’

Helen Flanagan has said she feels 'deflated' after struggling with mum guilt, her ADHD and crashing her car in her latest Instagram debrief on Wednesday amid row with ex Scott Sinclair

Helen starred as the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Liverpool in December and has revealed how she struggled with mum guilt as a result.

She told her followers: ‘I just have constant mum guilt because I haven’t really seen the kids for two months and then when I did see them I was really tired.’

To top it all off, Helen has ended the year with another blow after crashing her car, as she confessed: ‘Also I crashed my car yesterday, it was fine, it could have been a lot worse, but I crashed my car so it is just hassle.

‘I wanted to go to Scotland and stuff but I can’t because I crashed into another car, totally my fault.’

Helen then explained why she doesn’t want to go back on medication for her ADHD, despite it getting worse.

Helen was diagnosed with psychosis after suffering a ‘bad reaction’ to her ADHD medication in 2023.

She explained: ‘I am trying to learn my lines for my new play but my head is so busy with my ADHD that I am finding it hard to concentrate.

‘If I had the right medication it would probably be really good for me but I literally can’t and I am too scared to.’

Helen is heading to Birmingham with her children for her friend’s party, but she confessed: ‘I’m being honest I actually do feel like sh*t today, I could stay in my pyjamas.

‘I really struggle to control my emotions. If I am angry I get really angry and if I am sad I really feel it. But I wouldn’t change who I am because it would be boring.’

It comes after Helen spent Christmas without her children amid a feud with her ex Scott after she blasted him for allegedly failing to turn up to their son’s nativity.

Taking to her Instagram Stories Helen publicly criticised Scott after he shared posts from Abu Dhabi, where he spent the weekend attending the Grand Prix.

Re-sharing his Instagram post, Helen raged: ‘You really are a piece of s***.

‘How dare you not turn up to Charlie’s nativity.’

Scott had posted photos a series of snaps from his trip where he watched Lando Norris secure his maiden Drivers’ Championship title.

‘What a weekend-Abu Dhabi F1,’ Scott wrote. He added: ‘Happy Days, blurry nights..’

Meanwhile, Helen shared a sweet photo of herself cuddling their son, captioning it: ‘Loved Charlie’s nativity. My star, my heartbeat.’

The Daily Mail contacted Scott’s representative for comment at the time.
