Greg James’ not so family friendly jibes at fellow stars…

Best known for hosting the family-friendly BBC Radio 1 breakfast show, Greg James shocked audiences when he delivered an expletive-laden performance at a north London church last week.

The F-word was dropped multiple times in front of a crowd that included children as he appeared alongside Rivals star Emily Atack.

During the live event, the pair took aim at Prince William, Ant and Dec, and even former ITV golden girl Holly Willoughby.

‘It was shocking – no one expected them to swear like that, especially with children there,’ one attendee tells me.

Greg, 40, who was joined on his Comic Relief charity bike ride last month by the Prince of Wales, brought along the helmet worn by the royal.

He said: ‘I do believe this is Prince William’s helmet. Would you like to touch the royal helmet? Pass it around, I was going to say as long as it comes back full of royal nits, but he’s bald as a coot.’

The radio star added he found it strange riding with William: ‘It was amazing, he was on that saddle there, staring at my a**.’

But it was Emily’s swipe at Holly that drew the biggest reaction. After arriving on stage declaring, ‘Where the f*** is Greg?’, the 36-year-old actress went on to deliver a mocking impression of the former This Morning presenter.

Speaking about her pristine public image, Emily said: ‘If you’re in the public eye and you’ve got a platform, people want to hear from you.

‘There’s this ridiculous idea that as a celebrity you have to be squeaky clean and do ‘Holly Willoughby’.’

Greg, who was promoting his memoir All The Best For The Future at Union Chapel Islington, also fired a shot at ITV favourites Ant and Dec.

He said: ‘[They] are doing a podcast now. ‘TV work’s dried up, let’s do a podcast!’

Kate’s clean-living girl is just like mum!

While she did not elaborate with details, Lily – whose father is Welsh actor Michael Sheen, 57 – shared an image of herself holding a tray of cupcakes with the caption: ‘Two years sober.’

A friend of the actress replied under the picture: ‘So proud of you, Lily’.

Despite having found Hollywood fame in the 1990s, mum Kate, 52, was never one for wild partying, as she once admitted that she’s intolerant to alcohol.

Marisha Wallace: West End needs ‘stunt casting’

Theatre critics often frown on ‘stunt casting’, the process of selecting celebrities for West End roles instead of jobbing actors.

Marisha Wallace, the first black actress to play Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London, is very much in favour of 'stunt casting'

But American singer Marisha Wallace, who became the first black actress to play Sally Bowles in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London, believes having famous faces treading the boards helps to boost ticket sales.

‘You need these big stars to bring the people in,’ the star tells me at a charity event in Manchester. And for the rigid traditionalists, the 40-year-old’s message is blunt: ‘This is not your grandma’s entertainment industry. It’s not even your mama’s any more.’

It’s marathon No 16 for Sophie… this time with daughter Ella

Crossing the finish line of her 16th marathon must have felt good for Sophie Raworth – made all the more special by completing it with eldest daughter Ella.

The newsreader, whose father Richard died aged 83 last year, said: ‘I ran with my 21-year-old daughter. Ella was six when I first ran at the London Marathon. My wonderful dad would have been so proud of her.’

Three years ago, Ella took part in her first half-marathon, running with Sophie, 57, on the Isle of Wight where both won in their respective categories. And on Sunday Sophie completed her ‘fastest marathon in five years’, finishing in three hours, 36 minutes and 35 seconds.

Craig Revel Horwood is currently renovating his already enviable £2million mansion in King’s Cliffe, Northamptonshire.

But the Strictly judge is slumming it in more modest digs until the work is complete. ‘I am living in a caravan at the moment,’ reveals Horwood, 61. He adds: ‘It’s cheaper than storage.’

Spare a thought for aristocratic TV chef Gizzi Erskine, whose dream getaway turned into a nightmare after her knee was ‘smashed to smithereens’.

The 46-year-old daughter of the late 2nd Baron Erskine of Rerrick is now laid up abroad after the mystery accident which also left her with a cast on her arm.

And the ordeal has proved particularly punishing for the star, who candidly blamed her ADHD for the disaster.

‘For all you ADHDers who understand the chaos, this is the limit. I’m so bummed it seems the clumsy and disruptive goblin is always hiding somewhere. That’ll teach me for smug posts of a delightful holiday.’
