Teenager killed and six others rushed to hospital after horror crash

A teenager has been killed and six others rushed to hospital after a horror crash at a crossroads. 

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a collision involving two black Seat Ibizas between St Tudy and St Breward near the B3266 in Cornwall at around 11.15pm on Friday. 

A 19-year-old man, who was a front seat passenger in one of the cars, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. 

Six other people were taken to hospital with what are understood to be minor injuries. 

An 18-year-old man, of Bodmin, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The teenager has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.   

Officers from the Roads Policing Team carried out an investigation at the scene. 

The road, which had to be closed after the incident, was reopened at around 12pm on Saturday.
