Disturbing photo on Epstein’s desk shows ‘incapacitated young girl’

A disturbing framed photograph prominently displayed on Jeffrey Epstein’s desk has sparked intense speculation online, with social media users claiming it shows an incapacitated woman.

The image was among 19 photos released by Democratic lawmakers from the disgraced financier’s estate on Friday, including photos showing Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The photos do not implicate any of the individuals in Epstein’s crimes. Democrats selectively released the images from a collection of 95,000 from the estate.

In one of the undated images, Epstein is seated at his desk opposite right-wing political strategist Steve Bannon at the late pedophile’s Manhattan townhouse. The pair had a professional relationship during 2018 and 2019, when Bannon provided media coaching and advice to Epstein on rehabilitating his public image.

A framed photo on the right corner of the desk facing toward Epstein appears to show a person lying down. A black box has been placed over their face to protect their identity.

The image’s contents cannot be definitively determined, but lurid claims have exploded on social media with commenters calling it ‘very disturbing’, as well as ‘vile and disgusting.’

‘What a sicko. What appears to be an incapacitated young girl passed out on a couch. You have to be pretty confident you won’t be arrested to have such a deplorable picture on your desk,’ a social media user, Leasha Knight, wrote on X.

Two other photos are visible on Epstein’s desk, both with black boxes to protect the identities of the persons that they show.

The first, in a picture frame at the left corner of the desk, shows a person – perhaps a child – with their arm around Epstein and their head on his shoulder.

The third is seen resting in a plate close to the pedophile’s left hand. It is not possible to see what the photograph shows but the black box placed over it indicates that it contains at least one person whose identity is being protected.

Epstein files: What is being released?

On December 12, House Democrats on the Oversight Committee released 19 photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, selected from approximately 95,000 images provided to Congress. The photos show Epstein in social settings with prominent figures, including President Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Larry Summers, Woody Allen, and Steve Bannon, but do not by themselves allege criminal conduct.

Democrats can release these materials because the House Oversight Committee has subpoena authority and control over documents obtained during its investigations. These photos come from Epstein’s estate and are separate from records held by the Justice Department under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

What are the DOJ ‘Epstein files’?

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law on November 19, requires the Justice Department to release Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell-related records within 30 days, with redactions to protect victims’ privacy and ongoing investigations.

These DOJ records include investigative materials such as grand jury transcripts, evidence from federal cases, correspondence, and other law-enforcement files, materials that are broader and more formal than the estate’s photo collection. Recent federal court orders unsealing grand jury materials in New York and Florida were issued under this law’s authority.

Why are these photos being released now?

The timing appears tied to the December 19 deadline for DOJ’s mandated release, with Democrats moving first on public disclosure.

The release also builds on momentum from recent court orders and signals that Congress is pressing for maximum transparency rather than waiting for the White House.

What is the overall state of play?

Two main streams of Epstein-related material are now flowing to the public: (1) congressional releases from the estate, including photos and banking records, and (2) Justice Department releases mandated by the Epstein Files Transparency Act, including unsealed grand jury records.

The Daily Mail has contacted Bannon for comment.

The photo was included in a fresh tranche from House Democrats as the Trump administration remains under pressure to release more files to the public.

The photos also depict sex toys but it is unclear the location or dates of the images.

It is unclear why House Democrats have chosen to release these specific photos. The estate provided the House Oversight Committee with the images as part of the lawmakers’ investigation into Epstein.

President Trump is pictured in the release on three separate occasions.

One photo shows a bowl of condoms with a caricature of Trump’s face along with a sign saying, ‘Trump condom $4.50.’ Each condom shows Trump’s face with the text, ‘I’m HUUUUGE!’

‘These disturbing photos raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world,’ said Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee. ‘We will not rest until the American people get the truth.’

The Daily Mail reached out to the White House for comment.

In another image, Trump can be seen with six women whose faces are censored by the committee at an unknown date and place.

A second picture depicts Trump with a woman sitting on what appears to be a plane. The woman’s face is censored by the House Democrats.

Trump is also spotted partying with Epstein at an unknown social event.

Former President Clinton is seen in a photo with Epstein and his now-convicted mistress Ghislaine Maxwell alongside another man and woman. The photo appears to have Clinton’s signature.

Epstein and Trump had a friendly relationship for years before the two men had a falling out in the early 2000s.

Others high-profile names included in the Epstein photo dump include, Bill Gates, Clinton’s former economic adviser Larry Summers, Epstein’s lawyer Alana Dershowitz, and Steve Bannon.

Most of the men pictured with Epstein in the new photos have been previously linked to the deceased pedophile.

The timing of the photo appears tied to the December 19 deadline for DOJ’s mandated release, with Democrats moving first on public disclosure.

A spokesperson for the GOP-led Oversight Committee accused Garcia and other Democrats of ‘cherry-picking photos’ with unnecessary redactions.

‘Once again, Ranking Member Robert Garcia and Oversight Committee Democrats are cherry-picking photos and making targeted redactions to create a false narrative about President Trump,’ the spokesperson said in a statement.

‘We received over 95,000 photos and Democrats released just a handful. Democrats’ hoax against President Trump has been completely debunked. Nothing in the documents we’ve received shows any wrongdoing. It is shameful Rep. Garcia and Democrats continue to put politics above justice for the survivors.’

The release also builds on momentum from recent court orders and signals that Congress is pressing for maximum transparency rather than waiting for the White House.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by Donald Trump last month, compels the Justice Department to release all investigative records by December 19.

Congress’s mandate effectively overrode the conventional wall of grand jury secrecy that had kept the documents sealed.

Trump’s second term has been dominated by questions about the Epstein files, with pressure intensifying on the President after he reneged on a campaign promise to release the files.
