Devil Wears Prada fans shocked to learn who Stanley Tucci’s wife is

Fans were delighted to discover Stanley Tucci’s Devil Wears Prada love story after the US premiere of the movie’s sequel on Monday night.

Stanley, who reprises his role as Miranda Priestly’s right-hand man, Nigel, in the new movie, walked the red carpet in New York with his wife Felicity Blunt, co-star Emily Blunt and her Hollywood star husband John Krasinski.

Some online commenters asked who is ‘the stunning woman next to Stanley Tucci’ after pouring over the night’s photos, before expressing their shock when they learned the actor is married to Emily Blunt’s sister.

The US star has been married to Felicity, 44, since 2012. The couple were introduced by Emily, 43, at her 2010 wedding, when she invited Stanley, 65, after striking up a close friendship with him on the 2006 set of the first The Devil Wears Prada movie.

‘Omg how did I not know this?! Love this!’ commented one fan. ‘Now THAT’S pretty romantic!’ agreed another.

Felicity has her own successful 20-year career as a literary agent, representing legendary authors like the late Jilly Cooper as well as lending her expertise to her husband’s food books.

At Monday night’s premiere, the foursome looked stunning.

Felicity wowed in a plunging black tuxedo dress as she walked hand in hand with a dapper Stanley and sister Emily, who wowed in Schiaparelli couture.

Speaking at the premiere, Stanley told Entertainment Tonight that working with his sister-in-law again was the most special part of returning to the set of The Devil Wears Prada.

‘I suppose being with Emily,’ he replied when asked what made him the ‘most nostalgic’.

‘She was only 22 at the time and now my oldest children with my late wife are 24 and 26 and she is their aunt so that made me… yeah.’

Stanley’s first wife, Kathryn, with whom he had twins Isabel and Nicolo, 26, and daughter Camilla, 24, died of breast cancer in 2009, aged just 47.

He married Felicity in 2012 and the couple live in London with their two children, Matteo, 11, and Emilia, eight.

He has previously admitted that Kathryn’s death had cast a long shadow over his engagement and subsequent marriage to Felicity.

‘It was very hard to go on vacations at first, really hard to go with Felicity someplace,’ he told The Times in 2015. ‘I felt guilty. It’s horrible. You always feel guilty.’

He also said he considered breaking up with literary agent Felicity because he is 21 years older than her.

‘I was afraid to get into a relationship and I kept trying to break it off because I am so much older than she is and I didn’t want to feel old for the rest of my life.

‘But I knew this was an incredibly special person,’ he told Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2023.

Stanley’s own battle with oral cancer in 2017, when Felicity was pregnant with their daughter Emilia, changed his perspective on life.

‘It was a terrible time,’ he said. ‘It humanises you. I wasn’t fully aware of my mortality even after Kate’s death and so many friends had passed away from cancer. Now I get it.’
