A deserted village that could house 50 people and also boasts its own playground, community hall and mansion house has hit the market for just £2million.
Plas Bellin includes an impressive 10 acres of land tucked away in the Welsh countryside, just under two miles from the picturesque village of Northop near Chester.
But its focus is the Grade-II listed hall and former gentleman’s residence which has been transformed over the years.
The sprawling mansion spans two floors and includes a reception, office, conference room, dining room, living room, bathrooms, laundry room and seven kitchenettes.
Residents can stay in any one of 11 bedsits, most of which have ensuite bathrooms.
The hall dates back to the mid 19th Century and can be accessed using a long private drive.
Next to it are Morgan Mews and Long Barns, terraces consisting of four and five two-bedroom cottages, respectively.
These homes feature lawned gardens, a paddock and large storage sheds.
They sit in the midst of pleasant green countryside with piecemeal fields and thick woods making up the idyllic landscape.
Agents Legat Owen said Plas Bellin also boasts a ‘village hall complete with auditorium and stage, as well as kitchen, dining area, toilets, shower room, storage rooms, and a mezzanine with viewing platform and offices’.
They add: ‘There’s also a children’s centre with a playground and seven acres of woodland for families to roam.’
Self-contained apartments, studios, mews properties, a detached cottage and ensuite bedsits can also be found in the deserted village.
And if that was not enough, there are one-bedroom self-contained studio apartments that form one side of the rear external courtyard.
Those looking to use the village as a base for day trips will benefit from the close proximity to Wrexham, which is 20 miles away, and Liverpool, just 21 miles away.
London can be reached in just over two hours, with a train connecting nearby Chester to London Euston.
Earlier this year, the property was granted planning permission for conversion into a dual-use wedding and events venue with self-contained accommodation.
