Saoirse-Monica Jackson married Denis Sulta in a three-day Irish ceremony over the weekend – with a Scottish twist.
The Derry Girls star, 31, who went public their relationship in September 2021, tied-the-knot with the DJ, 32, at Dromquinna Manor, in County Kerry.
But to honour his roots, she wore an incredible reversible wedding gown with a tartan under layer.
‘We wanted both of our cultures and our families and friends to be at the centre of it,’ she told Vogue.
In photos published in the magazine, Saoirse looked stunning in the custom dress by Annie Doble of Annie’s Ibiza, which she described as ‘Celtic warrior princess.’
Her gown featured a corseted bodice with puffed sleeves and an asymmetric skirt with a dipped hem at the back – as well as a tartan twist which came as a surprise to Denis.
Saoirse revealed how their big day that plenty of surprises thrown in, with her dad changing into a Darth Vader costume in the evening to a singer dressed Elphaba from Wicked and an an Irish storyteller.
The couple became engaged in 2023, but didn’t announce the news until almost a year later.
Reflecting on the three-day event, Saoirse added: ‘Dancing went well into the early hours, we were in bed at 4.30am, but some were out until 7am so there were a few sore heads the next day.
‘Then we had buses pick everyone up and take them to a pub down the road, before we headed back and kept partying at the bar!’
For her hen do Saoirse enjoyed a weekend in Montreux, Switzerland with her friends and family.
In photos shared to her Instagram last month, she wore an embellished cowboy hat with a tartan corset.
Fans of Derry Girls were left in disbelief when they first realised who the sitcom’s main star, Saoirse was dating.
The Northern Irish actress and the DJ’s relationship had not been one of common knowledge until a few years after they bean dating.
A tweet reading: ‘There are some random celebrity couples out there but Denis Sulta and Erin from Derry girls takes the cake,’ prompted several stunned replies from those who were clueless to their romance.
‘My head is gone. Why did i not know this,’ one reply read.
Meanwhile, another fan of the Channel 4 hit wrote: ‘HOWWWW am I just finding this out wtf’.
