David Beckham beamed with pride after watching his youngest son Cruz perform live on stage in Paris on Thursday night.
The former footballer, 50, jetted to the French capital to watch Cruz, 21, and his band The Breakers on the latest leg of their UK and European tour.
The trip to France comes after David narrowly missed coming face-to-face twice with his estranged son, Brooklyn, for the first time since May, after they both visited the same hotel on Monday. You can read the full story here.
David has already seen Cruz perform in Manchester but couldn’t resist joining the crowd at the venue POPUP!
The Inter Miami co-owner was pictured in high spirits as he left the show, with Cruz following shortly behind.
David wasn’t the only one to fly to Paris to support Cruz. Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 30, and cousin Libby Adams also headed to the show.
The singer showed off his quirky style in a vintage red, white and blue checked shirt from Yves Saint Laurent which he teamed with black trousers and loafers.
Cruz announced his debut headline show with The Breakers at The Courtyard Theatre in London on March 27, which sold out in a matter of minutes.
He followed up the announcement with a full UK and EU tour, kicked off in Birmingham on February 25, before journeying to Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Southampton, Brighton.
He will now perform in Amsterdam and Berlin, before culminating in three nights in London at The Courtyard Theatre.
Cruz’s new single, the curiously titled Loneliest Boy, suggests the widening rift between eldest brother Brooklyn and the influencer’s immediate family has lit his creative spark.
The currently unreleased track includes lyrics about ‘breaking mama’s heart’ -and fans are convinced they were inspired by Brooklyn and his ongoing estrangement.
In one scathing verse, he sings: ‘Loneliest boy, place all your bets on him, To find something bad in somebody good, he always does, Loneliest boy, I hope that you’re listening, Don’t push all your friends away, when we’re tryna show you love.’
Elsewhere, the chorus reads: So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show?’
‘But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.’
Even closer to the knuckle, a second verse reads: ‘Loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, It’s breaking hеr heart.
‘It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in thе end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?’
Now based in the United States with his wife, Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his family in a six-page Instagram statement filled with lurid allegations.
Addressing social media followers in January, he claimed his parents had tried to sabotage his marriage to wife Nicola Peltz and have always prioritised public branding over their family relationships.
‘For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family,’ he wrote.
‘The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.’
He added: ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.’
