Darts star who LICKED Luke Humphries caught in another disgusting act

  • Wade was seemingly caught farting for the second time in a matter of months
  • He was criticised earlier this year after licking Humphries’ neck after a match
  • Referee Owen Binks was forced to step in this time, offering Wade a brief break

A darts match had to be stopped this week after a top-10 star farted during a match.

On the back of a dramatic World Cup, the Players Championship resumed in Leicester this week, with Chris Dobey claiming victory on Tuesday and then Stephen Bunting on Wednesday.

One moment caught the eye on Tuesday, though – with James Wade striking once again as he let one rip inside the venue.

Lining up against Peter Wright, Wade, ranked No 9 in the world, was in a last-32 clash but his body had other things on his mind rather than focusing on the darts.

After throwing an arrow, Wade, 42, farted in the direction of Wright as he approached the board to remove his darts. It caused Wright to step back, uttering ‘James’ and letting out a slight laugh.

Referee Owen Binks, meanwhile, responded with an ‘ooo’ and offered the darts star the chance to hold fire on continuing the game while he sorted himself out.

James Wade was caught in another disgusting act - for the second time in less than a year

Earlier this year, Wade had bizarrely appeared to lick Luke Humphries' neck as they embraced

Wade jokingly denied farting earlier this year, blaming the incident on a new pair of shoes

Binks added: ‘OK then. This is a streamed match guys.’

Wade denied the chance to take a short break, with Wright joking that Wade could have three more goes to allow the situation to pass.

And it wasn’t the first time Wade had been caught in a disgusting act. Earlier this year, he licked the neck of former rival Luke Humphries ahead of their tie at the UK Open.

And just days later, he kissed Raymond van Barneveld on the cheek, leading to complaints towards the referee from the Dutch player, who could be seen clearly annoyed by Wade’s actions.

In September meanwhile, Wade jokingly denied farting in a different Players Championship game against Callan Rydz.

He had walked over to a table following the win, with the footage showing the darts star slightly bending his knees.

Fans claimed they could then hear the sound of a fart on the video feed, with Wade forced to take to social media to deny the claim.

‘I feel I must address a situation following my run to the semi-finals of PC22 today,’ Wade wrote. ‘Footage has emerged of me doing what appears to be a “shart” at the end of one of my matches.

‘It was actually the velcro on my new trainers. I now consider this matter put to bed as don’t wish to talk about it again.’
