Cynthia Nixon unveiled a glamorous new look as she attended The Gilded Age season three premiere in New York City on Tuesday.

The Sex And The City actress, 59, turned heads with her ensemble as she arrived to the event in an open black blazer which showed off a matching bra.

Cynthia also wore a matching pleated skirt and added height to her frame with a pair of black stilettos.

The star also showed off a noticeably blonder hairdo with her locks styled into a sleek pixie cut.

Accessorising with a white clutch bag, Cynthia completed her look with a pair of silver earrings.

Although she is best known as a red head thanks to her role as Miranda Hobbs, Cynthia is a natural blonde.

On the first season of spin-off show And Just Like That, she sported grey hair after it was decided Miranda let her natural colour show during the pandemic.

Appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan, she said: ‘Michael Patrick King who is our chief writer and director, he was like, ‘You know, a lot of women during the pandemic, they couldn’t get out to the beauty parlor and they decided to go gray and then they decided that they liked it.

‘So if it was going to be one of the women, we think it would be Miranda.’ So yeah.’

Earlier this year, Cynthia and her co-star Kristin Davis expressed their shock and sadness when And Just Like That ended after three seasons.

‘I can’t believe our wild beautiful And Just Like That ride is almost over. It has been such a delight from start to finish,’ Cynthia said.

‘I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other’s lives.’

Kristin added: ‘I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love,’ she wrote.

‘And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever. ❤️’

Nicole Ari Parker, 54, who joined the Sex and the City spin-off in 2021, shared her own carousel of snaps and spoke of her gratitude for the experience.

‘An Honor and a Joy to be a part of this iconic family. ❤️’ thanking King, executive producer Susan Fales-Hill, Parker, Nixon and Davis ‘and the extraordinary writers and producers’ of the show.

‘From the first day to the last…it has been Just Like That…Amazing.’

Show writer Michael Patrick King explained the decision, saying, ‘While I was writing the last episode of season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.’

He said after discussing the idea with Parker and other execs they decided ‘to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12.’
