Hammers are keeping Wilson for survival fight- but continue discussions over selling Paqueta
West Ham have decided to keep Callum Wilson at the club following his goalscoring exploits at the weekend. The 33-year-old has been a bit-part player under Nuno Espírito Santo and was poised to cancel his contract this week with Al Shabab and Everton among those showing interest.
His impact against Spurs underlined the important role he can play in their fight against relegation.
Flamengo are expected to resume talks with West Ham over a possible deal for Lucas Paqueta. The midfielder missed Saturday’s win over Spurs and remains keen on a return to Brazil.
West Ham had said they may consider a sale if Paqueta is loaned back but that does not appeal to Flamengo.
The Hammers are also exploring their midfield options and asked about a loan deal for 22-year-old Venezuela international winger Keiber Lamadrid from Deportivo La Gueira.
West Ham and Aston Villa midfield target Quinten Timber was left out of Feyenoord’s starting team on Sunday night amid talks over his future. Marseille have made an offer to the Dutch club.
The Hammers have confirmed midfielder Andy Irving, 25, has joined Sparta Prague.
Burnley are interested in Hammers midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
Fulham back in for Udinese midfielder
Fulham have revived their bid for sign Udinese midfielder Arthur Atta.
Marco Silva’s side had a £17.4million offer rejected earlier in the window with Udinese reluctant to sell. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder only joined Udinese in 2024 but has attracted scouts from top sides including Manchester City with his performances.
Fulham are testing Udinese’s resolve with further talks around enticing them to sell the former France U20 international.
Fulham are also maintaining dialogue with PSV Eindhoven for striker Ricardo Pepi.
They expect West Ham to return to talks for winger Adama Traore over the coming days too.
Bove in for medical at Watford
Watford are closing in on the signing of former Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove. The 23-year-old has arrived in England and is having his medical on Monday.
Watford have offered Bove a five-and-a-half-year contract.
Bove was popular with Jose Mourinho during his time coaching at Roma but the Italy U21 international collapsed with a cardiac arrest on December 1, 2024, while playing on loan at Fiorentina against Inter Milan.
Bove was fitted with an implanted cardioverter defibrillator that means he is now unable to play in Serie A, where there are strict regulations.
Chelsea still haggling over Rennes centre back
Chelsea remain in talks with Rennes for £56million-rated centre back Jeremy Jacquet.
Chelsea are trying to bring the price down for the 20-year-old with their valuation closer to £45m. Jacquet wants the move but Rennes want a record sale for the defender who is also admired by Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
Other Chelsea options include Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi and Como’s Jacobo Ramon.
Palace holding out for £35m for Mateta… as Guehi heads to City
Juventus are continuing talks with Crystal Palace for striker Jean Philippe-Mateta after their opening offer was rejected. Juve offered a £1.7m loan fee with £24.5m to follow on qualification for Europe. Palace want around £35m for the 28-year-old.
Marc Guehi has completed his medical and is expected to be confirmed as a Manchester City player on Monday.
Forest in for Napoli striker on loan with option to buy
Nottingham Forest have progressed in talks with Napoli for striker Lorenzo Lucca.
Forest have offered around £800,000 as a loan fee with option to buy just over £30million.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is curtailing his loan at Forest and is poised to join Ajax on loan from Arsenal. The Ukraine international has only featured 10 times this season.
Ajax have agreed a loan fee with Arsenal and Zinchenko is due for his medical on Tuesday.
Leeds still considering move for Strand Larsden
Leeds United have discussed a move for Werder Bremen midfielder Romano Schmid but are looking at a striker next with Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen still a possible.
Fulham will go to £30m for PSV striker
Fulham are prepared to offer around £30m for PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepi. As Daily Mail Sport reported last week, Fulham have not given up hope of signing the USA international despite him undergoing surgery on a fractured arm. They had a first offer of £22m rejected at the start of January but PSV insist it may take £35m to prise away the 23-year-old this month.
Cherries close on £10.4m Toth move
Bournemouth will oversee a medical for Ferencvaros midfielder Alex Toth this morning after he flew into the UK late on Sunday.
Bournemouth are paying £10.4m plus add-ons for the 20-year-old.
The Cherries are advancing in talks for forward Rayan from Vasco da Gama and Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas.
Collyer on the road to Hull
Manchester United midfielder Toby Collyer is poised to join Hull City on loan this week.
Boro after winger Sarmiento
