Celebrity Christmas dinners ranked from the Kardashians to J.Lo

Another Christmas has come and gone, which means it’s time for the stars and influencers to reveal their Christmas dinner spreads for their fans on social media.

While some celebrities turned their holiday gatherings into stylish, glam affairs, others favored folksy family gatherings with little pretension.

Some stars even changed things up completely, such as the Kardashian–Jenner clan, who opted for a far more low-key celebration than usual after giving their usual A-list party a pass in 2025.

Even if they weren’t entertaining for all of Hollywood, the Kardashians still put together an over-the-top Christmas gathering that is certain to leave some fans filled with envy, while others will likely brand it a tacky affair.

Other stars failed spectacularly, such as Jennifer Lopez, whose lovely table setting was marred by an embarrassing Photoshop job.

As readers across the world are still recovering from their post-holiday food comas, the Daily Mail weighs in on the best and worst celebrity Christmas dinners.

The Kardashians put on one of the most over-the-top displays of the year, while Jennifer Lopez's lovely dinner set-up was marred by a tacky photoshop fail

The Kardashian–Jenners

Kim Kardashian, her mother Kris Jenner and her famous siblings showed off incredible views of their Christmas dinner on social media.

Atiana De La Hoya, the stepdaughter of Kourtney Kardashian’s husband Travis Barker — whom he helped raise as if she was his own child — revealed some of the family’s exterior Christmas decorations in her Instagram stories and showed that they were serving classic cocktails as she sipped on what might have been a cosmopolitan or a Manhattan.

The Kardashians also didn’t skimp this year on their iconic gingerbread houses, which also included a special hint about Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Timothée Chalamet.

But all the opulence also gave the celebration a sterile feeling, and it suggested that the family had an army of paid helpers, instead of feeling like an organic celebration that they put together themselves.

That included the dining table design, which featured a flourish of green pine needles running down the length of the grand table, with odd-looking green candles breaking up the shrubbery.

Khloé Kardashian went on to share videos of herself baking with her daughter True, and photos of the snacks her kids left out for Santa were a cute touch, but the Kardashians’ dinner ended up seeming tacky and ice cold, rather than warm and approachable.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez put together a more approachable — but still opulent — Christmas dinner setup.

Unlike the oppressive shades of beige at the Kardashians’ gathering, which were only broken up by the dark green of pine trees, Jennifer favored a deep crimson palette.

Her table was decorated with tall blood-red candles, stacks of grapes and golden bowls.

Her guests’ patterned plates were stacked on top of each other and decorated with pink bows, which threatened to push the setup over the top.

But the soothing gray–green walls helped to counteract the aggressive reds and pinks, and the garland decorating the mantle added a nice festive touch.

Jennifer even looked relaxed and approachable as she sipped on what looked like a glass of eggnog at her table.

But her Christmas dinner array was tainted when she posted a selfie that fans instantly recognized as being a bad Photoshop job, as the bottom of her phone appeared to be bending sideways.

Nina Dobrev

While plenty of stars went for over-the-top Christmas dinners — with varying degrees of success, others favored more intimate family affairs that paid tribute to their roots.

One star who opted for a low-key family Christmas dinner was Nina Dobrev.

She shared photos of herself beaming at home with family, suggesting a truly warm gathering.

While the dinner wasn’t ridiculously glamorous, it featured well-made classic dishes, including a perfectly textured turkey and classic sides like potatoes and green beans.

Nina’s family appeared to be gathered for a nicer dinner, but they also celebrated with another refreshingly low-key dinner in which most of the guests were dressed in casual clothes — and even pajamas.

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga

Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga were surprise winners with their Christmas dinner, as they focused on the most important aspect of the gathering: family.

The two shocked their fans earlier this year at BravoCon when they revealed that they had put aside their family-fracturing differences and were once again friends, as well as family, and their holiday photos proved that the two were still on good terms.

While Melissa didn’t show her table spread, she did reveal a pleasing bar setup where family members could chat and enjoy cocktails together.

She did double duty by providing sweets for the gathering, which doubled as advertising for her Let’s Sprinkle brand of sweet treats.

While the self-promotion threatened to take the dinner in a tasteless direction, the fact that she was able to bond with her on–off nemesis Teresa over the cookies made it a forgivable infraction.

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey

Olivia Culpo and her husband Christian McCaffrey didn’t score high with their Christmas dinner, which appeared to be an underwhelming mess.

It didn’t help matters that Olivia shared a comically blurred, out-of-focus photo of the family gathering on Instagram.

However, she and several other family members were all dressed in pajamas, suggesting that they weren’t trying to win any awards for the most elegant Christmas dinner.

Chrishell Stause

Former Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, who left the reality series after its ninth season, appeared to put on an approachable Christmas dinner featuring friends and family.

She and her guests didn’t make things overly formal with their casual outfits, but her dinner setup still managed to be tasteful yet not overdone.

One of the more underwhelming Christmas dinner displays came from Cardi B. That was primarily because the rapper didn't bother to put together her own family dinner and instead took the kids out for a family dinner

There’s nothing wrong with eating out for Christmas — assuming you can find a place that’s even open — but there’s also nothing stopping someone with Cardi’s wealth from putting together a dinner of her own.
