Blake Lively has enjoyed an idyllic trip to the Cotswolds, indulging in all things British including a get together with her Bake Off pal Prue Leith.
The Gossip Girl star, 38, and her husband Ryan Reynolds, 49, flew to the UK earlier this month to watch Ryan’s football team Wrexham take on Premier League side Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round clash in the north-east of Wales.
During their trip, the couple, and their four children James, 11, Inez, nine, Betty, six, and Olin, three, enjoyed the sights of London before heading for a luxurious countryside retreat at Soho Farmhouse.
Sharing snaps from the getaway, Blake revealed she paid a visit to pal Prue Leith’s Cotswolds farm, posting a photo of the two unlikely pals cuddling up.
Blake and Prue, 86, became friends in 2023 when the Hollywood star and her husband paid an unexpected visit to the Great British Bake Off set.
‘They heard we were filming in the same studio lot as Ryan was, he was making Deadpool, and so they both just turned up,’ Prue revealed at the time.
‘Because we were there at the same time as they were, you know weeks on end, we got really friendly. So they came in a lot.’
Alongside her catch-up with Prue, Blake also indulged in the countryside pursuit of falcon holding, visiting The Owl Sanctuary where she had some up close encounters with birds of prey.
Ever the fashionista, Blake joked it was ‘falcon holding but make it fashion’, sharing a picture of her designer look and admitting: ‘No I didn’t realise I was holding my purse in that gloved hand until my sister was laughing her a** off at my commitment to Chanel.’
Blake also couldn’t resist snapping her husband as they enjoyed the Wrexham game, gushing of the sneaky photo: ‘After 14.5 years together I still take sneaky fan photos of him. I have such a crush.’
She captioned the snaps: ‘So grateful for the best week with my loved ones.
‘Thank you @wrexham_afc and all the players and everyone who works at that stadium for the performance of a lifetime. ♥️The greatest 10,000 people to share an emotional roller coaster with is in Wrexham.
‘*shout out to everyone (like my sweet sister in slide 10) who thinks someone is taking a photo of their cute outfit, when it’s really a video.’
Despite Wrexham, which Ryan notably owns with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, being eliminated from the FA Cup, the pair looked happier than ever as they watched from a private suite at the Racecourse Ground earlier this month.
Blake and Ryan stepped onto the field after the game to pose for a sweet photo after the Deadpool star had made his debut as a football commentator on Sky Sports during the match.
The fun trip comes just two months before Blake is set to go to trial for her lawsuit against Justin in May in New York City.
The actress filed a lawsuit in December 2024 where she accused Justin of sexual harassment and launching a smear campaign against her. The pair had previously starred in the 2024 film It Ends With Us, which Justin also directed.
Justin responded with a $400 million lawsuit against the actress as well as filing a $250 million libel claim against the New York Times which reported on Lively’s allegations. The case was later dismissed by a judge in June of last year.
Last month in February, Blake and Justin attended a settlement hearing in NYC – but the actress abruptly left following six hours of negotiations.
She made her way out of the courtroom while also accompanied by her lawyer Michael Gottleb at the time.
Just minutes later, Justin also exited the courthouse and was joined by his wife Emily for support.
His attorney Bryan Freedman had been asked if settlement conversations could resume and he simply replied, ‘I don’t know that he will.’
A previous settlement conference had taken place on January 22, but neither Blake or Justin attended.
