Barcelona fans name the two big-name superstars they want OUT

A survey conducted by a major Spanish media outlet has revealed that two key Barcelona players are no longer wanted by fans.

Mundo Deportivo decided to survey 300 Barcelona members regarding who they would like to see sold by their beloved Blaugrana in the summer of 2026.

They also asked supporters whether Robert Lewandowski’s contract, which is up at the end of the current season, should be renewed and whether Marcus Rashford’s loan move should be made permanent.

Fans were clear on two names they wanted to see out the exit door more than any other.

Frenkie De Jong was named by 37.3 per cent of members as the player they would most like to see sold, while Ronald Araujo ran him close with 32.9 per cent of the vote.

Meanwhile, 59.3 per cent of Barcelona members in the survey – 178 people – said they would not renew 37-year-old Lewandowski’s contract at the end of the campaign, with only 31.6 per cent wanting to keep the legendary Polish attacker.

The majority, however, would bring Rashford on board permanently, with 54.66 per cent expressing their desire to exercise the option to buy clause in the forward’s loan contract.

Not every Barcelona fan has been sold by Rashford’s performances in the famous blue and red this season, though, with 35.66 per cent of members claiming they would send the winger back to Manchester United. 6.3 per cent say a decision should wait until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has settled in nicely at the Spanish giants after what had been a rocky start following a tough summer in Manchester.

Rashford has netted seven goals in all competitions this campaign, while bagging an impressive 11 assists, with eight of those coming in LaLiga, proving to be an effective outlet from the left-hand side.

Barcelona’s option to buy him next summer from Man United is understood to be £30m.

However, when it comes to Lewandowski, who has been a fine servant for the Spanish giants – scoring 109 goals in 163 games – his future looks set to be away from the Nou Camp.

While he has scored eight goals in 13 LaLiga games this season, according to the Athletic, the most likely scenario is that he does not renew his deal with the champions.

The final nail in the coffin for Lewandowski, leading to 59.3 per cent of Barcelona members not wanting him to renew his contract, may have been his missed penalty in a 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid earlier this month.

Barcelona supporters could barely believe what they had seen after Lewandowski ballooned the ball into the stands, with Spanish newspaper AS calling it ‘one of the worst penalties in LaLiga history’.

While Barcelona fans aren’t too keen on Lewandowski renewing his contract, in the survey on who they want sold, he received only 2.3 per cent of the vote.

German goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen took 13.6 per cent of the vote, meaning 41 members want to see him sold.

Striker Ferran Torres is next with 6.3 per cent, while only 2.6 per cent want to see French defender Jules Kounde.

Surprisingly, even Barcelona’s boy wonder, Lamine Yamal, wasn’t safe. Two members want to see the 18-year-old, who came second in the Ballon d’Or, ousted from the club.
