Anne Hathaway was gifted with a copy of the Qur’an at the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere, after earning praise for using the word Inshallah during an interview.
The actress, 43, has been promoting her role in the much-anticipated sequel, and slipped into a skintight velvet dress while posing with her co-stars on the red carpet.
Footage shared on Instagram showed Anne being offered the religious text by a fan, and she replied: ‘Thank you so much. That’s very kind,’ as they asked her to read it.
Earlier this week, Anne spoke to People about how she’s embraced ageing in her 40s, in a clip that has now gone viral on TikTok.
She said: ‘I just feel like, you can either fear ageing, or you can fear dying young.
‘I just really want to hopefully live for, and enjoy a life. I want to have a long, healthy life. Inshallah I hope so.’

Inshallah is an Arabic term which translates literally to ‘if God wills it’, and is frequently used by those who follow Islam, and in the wider Middle East.
Her use of the term sparked a sea of comments from fans, including: ‘INSHALLAH TOOK ME OUT;
‘The Inshallah I’m dead; Inshallah my princess of Genovia;
‘Inshallah? Annie I ain’t know you had that in you.’
