Revealed: Alexis Mac Allister’s ex ‘seeks £4.5M in compensation’

  • Camila Mayan is suing Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister for £4.5m in compensation
  • She also accused him of being unfaithful to her before starting a new relationship

Alexis Mac Allister’s ex-girlfriend Camila Mayan is seeking a huge compensation sum of $6million (£4.5m) from the Liverpool star in the lawsuit she filed following their split in 2022, a report has revealed.

The Argentine midfielder, who broke off his five-year relationship with Mayan just days after winning the World Cup in 2022, moved to the Reds from Brighton in 2023 and has since become an integral part of Liverpool’s team, winning his first Premier League title under Arne Slot last term.

In March, Mac Allister announced that he will soon become a father with new girlfriend Ailen Cova, who became his new flame shortly after his relationship with Mayan ended.

Mayan, who claims she was cheated on and subsequently dumped so that Mac Allister could pursue a relationship with Cova, sued the footballer and lodged a compensation claim for the years they shared as a couple while living abroad.

It has been claimed that Mayan – who was reportedly kicked out of England after Mac Allister began his relationship with Cova – is demanding a $250,000 (£185,000) for every month the pair lived together abroad, which amounts to $6m (£4.5m) across two years.

To Mayan’s frustration, the court has now ruled that the case will be heard in England, which promises to mark a setback in her legal efforts against Mac Allister.

Mayan (left, with Mac Allister in 2022) is demanding a $250,000 (£185,000) in compensation for every month they lived together abroad - accusing him of being unfaithful to her with Cova

Speaking about her ongoing court battle to A la Tarde via Paparazzi, she said: ‘Everything’s fine, we’re seeing what we do next. Before going elsewhere, there are other options. You don’t necessarily have to go directly… I’ll see what I do.’

On the court ruling, Mayan added: ‘It’s more of the same. We all know that things in the courts can take a long time, so it’s normal, right? I don’t have any contacts in the courts, I don’t know them.’

Mac Allister first addressed the lawsuit in November 2024, insisting it was a matter of waiting patiently to discover the court’s verdict.

Speaking from his car as he left a restaurant, the midfielder said: ‘There was no more relationship.

‘She took her path, I took mine, and that’s it. As for the other thing (the lawsuit), everything is in court, where it should be, and we are waiting.’

When questioned about the allegations Mayan had made, which included him being unfaithful to her and keeping her belongings, he simply replied: ‘I think it’s normal in a relationship – she made the decision to come out and make public things that she felt or that she believes happened, but I know how things went and that’s why I’m very calm.’

Mayan addressed Mac Allister’s comments in her interview and added: ‘Sorry? I didn’t say anything when he was with someone else; it came out somewhere else.

‘I learned a lot of things from TV. The other day, someone close to him talked about getting married. I didn’t say that.

Mac Allister and Cova revealed in March that they are expecting their first child together

‘I have to swallow all this, but I’m not the one who goes around telling the press things. They want to make me look like a media figure because it looks better on them.’

Announcing his baby news with Cova in March, Mac Allister could not contain his excitement on Instagram.

‘I love them with all my heart,’ the World Cup winner said in a post which displayed a video of them telling friends about the news.

Cova added: ‘We wish and love you with all our heart. See you soon little one’.

Mac Allister was joined by Cova on the pitch at Anfield as the pair celebrated Liverpool’s title triumph in May.

Marking the moment with an emotional post on Instagram, Cova said: ‘My champion. How happy it makes me to be able to accompany you in every step you take, to see you happy and enjoying after so much effort and dedication.

‘Thank you for making me part of your passion, pure pride my love. We love you!’
