Agassi and Graf’s daughter makes rare appearance alongside father

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf’s rarely-seen daughter made a surprise appearance alongside her father at the US Open, where she described him as a ‘superhero’.

Jaz, 21, accompanied Agassi at the USTA Foundation gala and watched on as he received the Serving Up Dreams Award for his tireless work off the court.

Born in 2003, she has maintained a low profile, both in public and on social media – a stark contrast to her older brother, who plays professional baseball for Germany.

However, she is known to have interests in horseback riding, fitness, fashion and art, as well as sports including snowboarding, golf and pickleball.

On Sunday, the USTA Foundation’s Instagram shared several photos of Jaz with her father. According to a guest at the gala, she even described him as her ‘superhero’.

Taking to her own account, on which she has posted just twice, Jaz shared photos of herself interacting with fellow guests and chatting with fashion icon Anna Wintour.

She also shared a photo with a man who appeared to be a love interest named Parker Aquino.

The father-daughter duo also attended Novak Djokovic’s straight-sets victory over Learner Tien, and Agassi couldn’t hide his delight that Jaz had been in attendance.

‘Love you, Jaz,’ he wrote alongside a snap of them together.

Agassi, 55, won all four Grand Slams during his illustrious career – and a total of eight overall. He also won Olympic gold and the Davis Cup three times.

After his French Open success in 1999, he began dating ladies’ singles champion Graf, who won a remarkable 22 Grand Slam singles titles from 31 finals.

Between them, they share a total of no less than 30 Grand Slam titles.

They tied the knot in 2001 and shortly after their wedding, their son Jaden was born. Then, two years later, the power couple welcomed Jaz.

Delving into the interests of their two children, Graf said: ‘Jaz plays a little bit of tennis, Jaden not so much. We never really introduced tennis so much into their lives.

‘They’ve chosen other things that we were surprised with… they love arts and music.’

Jaz’s under-the-radar persona differs to that of her brother, Jaden, who is attempting to carve out a career in baseball.

Andre and Steffi have been huge supporters of the 23-year-old burgeoning career, and regularly attend his games.

However, he suffered a sluggish start to life in the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers earlier this year, with the pitcher allowing four earned runs, three hits and two walks in just 0.2 innings.

Agassi entered the game in the fourth inning but was yanked before the end of the frame after a sacrifice bunt moved a runner to second base.

In one moment, Agassi crossed paths with the kin of another sports legend, as he surrendered a single to Lucas Ramirez, the son of former Red Sox star Manny.

Andre and Steffi were seen watching their son during the broadcast of the game, with the former sitting inside behind his wife.

Jaden, a former USC player, was born in Nevada and does have some experience playing the sport that his parents dominated to the tune of 30 Grand Slam titles.

Nonetheless, he explained in a recent interview why he became more interested in baseball.

‘I started playing baseball when I was six years old in T-ball,’ Agassi told MLB.com.

‘I loved it. I’ve picked up a tennis racket a good amount, but it was always hard for me to keep that ball in between the lines. I just wanted to hit that thing as far as I could. Baseball had my love since day one.’
