Taylor Swift is officially engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce, so now fans are speculating on who will make the cut when it comes to being one of her bridesmaids.
With a large circle of A-list girlfriends, it will be very telling on who manages to make it into what will arguably be the celebrity wedding of the decade.
At the top of the list is most likely Selena Gomez, who has been one of Swift’s nearest and dearest friends since around 2008.
The pair met when Swift was dating Joe Jonas and Gomez was dating his brother Nick.
They’re so close that Gomez once called Swift her ‘only friend in the industry’.
Another star high on the list will be Lana Del Rey, who are such good friends that they even attended the 2024 Grammy Awards together.
Lana is also believed to be one of the very few people who have heard Swift’s upcoming twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
One of Swift’s newer pals who could make the bridal party is rapper Ice Spice.
The Barbie World rapper became close with Swift after they collaborated on a remix of Swift’s hit Karma in 2022.
The pair quickly became inseparable, with Swift even bringing Spice to the Super Bowl with her.
There’s also speculation that a number of NFL wives could be bridesmaids, including Brittany Mahomes and Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie.
Another name floating around is pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
Not only after the two singers good friends, Carpenter is the only featured artist on Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl album.
It’s also expected that members of Swift’s iconic girl squad, including supermodels Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid, will be major bridesmaid contenders.
One of the three Haim sisters may also be lucky enough to become a bridesmaids, but it’s unlikely and the entire trio will make the cut.
Swift has been friends with Este, Danielle, Alana Haim for years and has even collaborated with the sister act multiple times before.
It’s unclear which of the three sisters she’s closest with, but she did namedrop Este in her song ‘No Body, No Crime’.
Outside of Swift’s celebrity circle, her childhood best friend Abigail Anderson will of course be a shoe-in – and may even make Maid of Honor.
Swift previously served as Anderson’s Maid of Honor for her 2022 nuptials to Charles Berard.
Blake Lively and Margaret Qualley would’ve previously been considered no brainers to make bridesmaid status, but her rumored issues with both women leaves their inclusion in doubt.
Lively was once considered one of Swift’s closest friends, but the Gossip Girl star’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni has reportedly weighed on their friendship.
The longtime pals’ relationship has been under the spotlight ever since Swift’s name got dragged into Lively’s legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Baldoni, which began in December 2024.
Baldoni’s lawyers claimed Lively tried to ‘coerce’ Swift into issuing a public statement in her favor and even urged her to delete texts — a move that led to Swift being subpoenaed, despite her attempts to stay out of the drama.
Meanwhile, fans have also speculated that Swift may be on the outs with Qualley, who is the wife of Swift’s frequent producer and collaborator Jack Antonoff.
Another name that most certainly won’t receive an invite to the nuptials is Meghan Markle.
Swift reportedly snubbed Meghan years ago after the Duchess of Sussex sent her a handwritten note requesting the star’s presence on her Archetypes podcast.
Unfortunately for Meghan, Swift ignored the invitation.
In a post on Instagram at 1 pm ET Tuesday, Swift revealed that she and Travis were officially getting married.
The pop icon and the NFL star, both 35, announced their bombshell marriage news with a romantic photoshoot in a rose garden, which Swift captioned: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’
In just one hour, the post has already received over 9.2 million likes.

Swift paired her new bling with a $490 preppy striped silk blend Ralph Lauren dress.
The Grammy winner also wore her go-to $18,000 Cartier watch, which was heavily featured in the picture slideshow on Instagram.
Fittingly, the sweet ‘So High School’ song she wrote about the Kansas City Chiefs football player played in the background.
The couple went public with their relationship in September 2023 when the singer appeared alongside Kelce’s mother, Donna, at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
Since that day their romance has captivated the world, with Swift supporting Kelce’s run to two Super Bowls while the NFL star has traveled alongside her around the globe on her wildly successful Eras tour.
Prior to Kelce, Swift was in a six-year romance with actor Joe Alwyn, 34, which ended in April 2023.
The engagement news comes almost two weeks after Swift announced her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights.
