Police in Greece are probing the mysterious death of a British man found in the sea in the popular Greek island resort, Rhodes.
According to local reports, the 26-year-old was discovered unconscious in Lindos on August 16.
The Central Port Authority of Rhodes said it was notified of an incident that involved a young foreigner who was pulled from the sea.
Although emergency services were dispatched to the scene, the man was pronounced dead.
Doctors confirmed his death at the Archangelos Health Centre.
Cops have now launched an investigation into the mysterious incident.
Reports indicate that an autopsy has been ordered by the Forensic Medical Service.
The identity of the man has not been made public. Daily Mail has contacted the Foreign Office for comment.
It comes after it was reported that a British man was found dead on a beach in Rhodes in June.
The 68-year-old had reportedly gone for a swim and lost consciousness before passing away.
Last month, a 74-year-old Brit was also found dead on his sun lounger in Agia Paraskevi on the Greek island of Skiathos.
