West Ham and Juventus are reportedly in discussions over a potential swap deal.
Both sides are looking to address their defensive shortcomings this summer and the swap could suit both parties.
According to Sky, Juve are keen on 29-year-old Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd.
Aguerd joined the Hammers in a deal worth £30m in 2022 and made 58 appearances over two seasons before being sent out on loan to Real Sociedad for the 2024-25 campaign.
The London club could be willing to part ways with the player but want Daniele Rugani in return.
Rugani joined Juventus in 2012 but has never quite managed to secure a regular starting role.
The 30-year-old has had loan spells with four different clubs during that time and spent last season at Ajax.
He is currently with The Old Lady at the Club World Cup but was left on the bench for Wednesday’s 5-0 opening win over Al-Ain.
Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille have also been linked with a move for Aguerd this summer.
Real Sociedad would also be keen to re-signing Aguerd on loan but West Ham would prefer a permanent deal if the 29-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements by Graham Potter.
