Lou Teasdale has hit back at suggestions that Andy Carroll broke up with her after becoming fed up with her high maintenance behaviour – and claims that she dumped him, the Daily Mail can reveal.
Sources close to former Premier League star Andy, 36, said he ended the year-long romance with influencer Lou, 41, this week after becoming tired of her following a string of booze-fuelled rows.
But now furious friends of the influencer have claimed that Andy was so desperate to save the relationship that he chartered a private jet to race to Ibiza yesterday in a last-ditch attempt to win her round.
The extraordinary intervention came just hours after news emerged that the couple had split after 12 months of dating.
A source told the Daily Mail: ‘It was Lou who ended her relationship with Andy, she walked away a few days ago, it was very much her choice to end their romance.
‘She isn’t interested in pointing the finger or blaming him and hoped to deal with their split in private, before he blocked her on Instagram and deleted their photos together.
‘Lou is very upset by how everything has played out and the arguments between them were especially difficult for her to go through.
‘However, Andy wants Lou back and flew to Ibiza via private jet on Tuesday just to find her, even though he has no idea where she’s staying.
‘He will think it’s a romantic gesture but for Lou, she’s unimpressed and just wants to be away with her family, she’s not interested in any of his attempts at a reconciliation now.
‘All she has done all year is love and support Andy, her feelings haven’t gone away, but Lou has to protect herself now and ending the relationship is the only way to move forward.’
While Andy has removed all trace of Lou from his Instagram, the celebrity makeup artist still has a string of images featuring the footballer which demonstrates how close their relationship was on her profile.
Andy and Lou started dating last year after the ex-Liverpool and Newcastle player separated from his wife, TOWIE’s Billi Mucklow, 37, with whom he has three children.
Reality star Billi is currently holidaying in Mallorca with her family and on Tuesday posted an image of her wearing a bikini by the pool, prompting praise from her former TOWIE co-stars.
Andy married Billi in June 2022 as their children Arlo, Wolf, and Marvel watched on but the couple announced their divorce two years later.
In May 2022, Andy, who also has two children from a previous relationship, was pictured ‘passed out’ between not one, but two blonde women during his stag do, causing upset and distress for Billi.
Lou Teasdale declined to comment when approached by the Daily Mail.
