Harriet Sperling’s daughter joins Peter Phillips’ children for wedding

Harriet Sperling’s daughter joins Peter Phillips’ children for wedding,

Harriet Sperling and Peter Phillips’ daughters glowed with pride as the soon-to-be sisters arrived at their parents’ royal wedding today.

Georgina, 14, from Harriet’s first marriage, is playing the all-important role of bridesmaid, alongside Peter’s two daughters, Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14, whom he shares with former wife Autumn Kelly.

The three teenagers exuded elegance and sophistication as they arrived at All Saints Church in Kemble, Gloucestershire, for the highly-anticipated event alongside numerous other members of the Firm.

Beaming broadly as they assisted the bride with her veil and glamorous gown, the new sisters appeared closer than ever as they stepped out for the royal wedding, which is being attended by several members of the Royal Family.

And while they are now set to be formally sisters, the teenage trio have known each other for several years, having been on the same hockey team.

It is, however, understood that Georgina only met the Royal Family at Balmoral last year.

Now, Georgina, who was raised by single mother Harriet, 45, will likely be thrilled to have Savannah and Isla as both sisters and firm friends.

Harriet has previously spoken candidly about her struggles as a single mother in a moving first-person essay for Women Alive.

There, she revealed how she and Georgina survived ‘against the odds’ as they ‘journeyed 10 years with only each other’ while she juggled parenting with working on the NHS frontline.

She also confessed that it ‘has often felt hard to imagine’ anyone else coming into their lives in the piece that was published in March 2024, just months before her and Peter met.

‘The unique relationship between a single mother and her child is forged in the fires of struggles and victories,’ she wrote.

‘It’s a bond characterised by a love and survival against the odds.

‘But of course beauty comes from relationships, relationship with our maker and relationship with each other.

‘It is often tough parenting alone but although there is a stigma to endure, God is able to step in and turn it for good.’

The late Queen’s ‘favourite grandson’ had just broken up with Scottish businesswoman Lindsay Wallace and quickly became besotted with Harriet.

They confirmed their relationship in May 2024 when they were seen strolling hand-in-hand at the Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire.

Shortly after she met Peter, the Daily Mail’s Editor-at-large Richard Kay reported friends of the couple saying, ‘This is a romance moving at pace.

‘They are so comfortable together, they look like they have known each other for ages.’

Eyewitnesses told high society bible Tatler that Harriet and Peter’s daughters had joined them on their second public date at the Beaufort Polo Club, after the couple were photographed looking absolutely smitten with each other.

On Friday, Georgina, Savannah and Isla were seen at the Gloucestershire venue in preparation for their parents’ wedding day and appeared to be practising by holding an imaginary veil before stepping inside the venue.

Harriet and Peter, who have been dating since May 2024, officially announced their engagement in August – and much has been discussed about what their all-important wedding day could look like today.

In a statement to announce the joyous news last summer, they said both families were ‘delighted’.

Peter, who is 19th in the line of succession, popped the question with a sparkling ring which boasts a subtle but touching tribute to his beloved grandmother – the late Queen Elizabeth II – and was designed by the same jeweller behind her iconic 1946 ring.

Born Harriet Eleanor Sander to Mary Hoskins and Rupert Sanders, Harriet has three siblings, Nicholas, Louisa, and Rebecca.

She herself boasts wealthy connections, sharing a relation to the Duke of Gloucester through her late father, Rupert Sanders.

In 2010, she was part of a specialist medical team credited with helping save the life of a critically ill baby struck down by a deadly virus at just three weeks old.
