Miss Venezuela Global has released shocking footage of her face covered in blood in a trashed hotel room after claiming to have been attacked by a celebrity stylist in Cannes.
Andrea del Val was staying in the French Riviera city in southern France during the Cannes Film Festival when the alleged altercation with Giovanni Laguna took place.
Video said to have been filmed after the row shows Andrea with blood on her face, with Giovanni sitting on a chair inside the room.
The Venezuelan stylist and fashion designer arrested over the attack is known for his links to Mexican Miss Universe 2025 winner Fatima Bosch, although there is no suggestion she was involved in the incident.
Andrea said in Spanish: ‘Look, this is what Giovanni Laguna did. Congratulations, Giovanni, this is what I wanted, for you to show who you were.’
The model then pans the camera around the accommodation to show the room in disarray, with belongings scattered after what reports described as a violent altercation.
Reports in Mexico and Venezuela said the argument quickly escalated from shouting into a physical struggle.
Guests reportedly called police after hearing shouting, blows and what sounded like a disturbance coming from the accommodation.

French police then arrived at the property, and Giovanni was reportedly taken into custody.
Spanish journalist Jordi Martin later shared footage said to show the stylist being escorted away by officers in Cannes.
Andrea was reportedly given medical attention and was said to be out of danger after the incident.
The exact cause of the row has not been confirmed, and French authorities have not yet released a detailed statement on the case.
It is also not yet clear what charges, if any, Giovanni may face following his arrest.
Giovanni, born in Churuguara, in Venezuela’s Falcon state, has worked for years in the beauty pageant and fashion world.
He has been described in Latin American media as a stylist, designer and image adviser for beauty queens and celebrities.
Reports said he has worked with figures connected to Miss Venezuela and, since 2023, has been creative director for Miss Universe Colombia.
His high-profile link to Fatima, Mexico’s Miss Universe 2025 winner, helped turn the alleged attack into a wider scandal across Latin American entertainment media.
Giovanni has been described as one of the image professionals close to Fatima during her pageant career and public appearances.
