Sprint superstar Noah Lyles has continued to heap praise on up and coming Australian sprinter Gout Gout.
The pair have linked up in America to train together as the Queenslander carries on his meteoric rise through the athletics ranks.
Lyles labelled them a ‘cheat code’ as they worked out together in a video posted on Instagram.
The two are set to compete in a 150m race at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting in Czechia next month.
It marks a return for Gout Gout to the place where he won the 200m last June when he posted a time of 20.2.
One he has since bettered, becoming the first Australian to break the 20-second barrier on April 12.
Lyles calling the ‘tag team a cheat code’ is the not the first time he has spoken glowingly of the youngster.

‘He’s more talented than I was [at the same age], Lyles said when the Adidas stablemates trained together back in 2025
‘He’s an amazing kid, he’s got a great head on him, he’s got a great team around him.
‘It’s going to be interesting to see how he develops.
‘The thing that I always look for when I’m looking at younger talent is, ‘hey, are you just going to be able to train into shape?’ Because when you’re in high school, you’re able to just get races all the time whenever you want. But as a pro, you’ve got to come prepared already.’
Gout Gout will double up in the 200m and 4x400m relay as part of a record 75-strong Australian team at the U20 world athletics championships in Oregon in August.
Gout, 18, has elected to prioritise the world juniors over the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with the aim of emulating the legendary Usain Bolt, who won the 200m gold back in 2004 to kickstart his peerless career.
Gout is the U20 world record holder in the 200m – the discipline where he won silver at the previous edition of the world juniors in Peru in 2024.

The meet will take place at historic Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in Eugene, the spiritual home of US track and field.
‘I’m really excited to get out there at World Athletics Under 20s,’ Gout said.
‘I know it’s a great stadium and place to run fast, and I feel confident I’ll be ready to step up and make Australia proud.
‘I’ll be competing in the 200m but I’m also excited to join in the 4x400m on the last day.’
The large squad also includes high jumper Izobelle Louison-Roe, who will be aiming to go one better than her silver from the 2024 titles in Lima.
She is entered in the high jump and the triple jump and will decide what event she competes in later in the year.
Race walker Isaac Beacroft will back up from the Glasgow Commonwealth Games at the U20 world titles.
‘I’ve got pretty high expectations of myself in both races, and I don’t want to leave that short amount of time in between each event as an excuse for my performances,’ he said.
