EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Strictly’s Ore has a taste for womenswear

After splitting up from his wife Portia, BBC star Ore Oduba began enjoying his newly single life by posting half-naked photographs of himself on social media.

Now the former Strictly Come Dancing winner has revealed that he also enjoys wearing women’s clothes.

A recent outing in chiffon made him feel ‘incredible’, he declares.

The former CBeebies presenter, 40, who has two young children with Portia, wore a purple top and flowing trousers to the WhatsOnStage Awards in March.

Two months on, he has spoken about his choice of outfit, saying the top was compared with one worn by skater Jayne Torvill when she won gold with Christopher Dean following their dance to Ravel’s Bolero at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo.

‘I want to show you a text message that I got at the weekend which made me howl with laughter,’ he says. ‘It concerns this outfit that I wore at an awards do a few months ago. I did buy this particular outfit from the woman’s section – a little bit of chiffon felt incredible.

‘My friend said, ‘You are not Jane Torvill!’

Soon to be seen touring Britain with his former Strictly dance partner, Joanne Clifton, ten years after they won the show, Ore says he is keen to embrace a side of himself that he has suppressed for too long.

‘I couldn’t give two hoots. In my childhood I was very playful, I loved dressing up, make-up, androgyny, and that was always something I had, going into my teens.

‘Then at some point I shut it off. But not any more, I will be doing the bolero until the day I die.’

Ore separated from Portia Jett, 36, in 2024. Last year, he posted a photo of himself wearing swimming trunks with the LGBTQ symbol at the front and the word ‘Pride’ emblazoned in rainbow letters on the back. He has also addressed an addiction to pornography.

Trinny’s pants are, well, pants

As the co-host of the BBC’s What Not To Wear, Trinny Woodall pulled no punches in telling women how to dress.

But the tables have turned and she’s now been given a dressing-down by her friend Davina McCall for her dowdy, largely grey, collection of knickers.

In an online video, Trinny, 62, who split from art collector Charles Saatchi in 2023, tells Davina: ‘This is my underwear drawer – you can tell I haven’t had a relationship for three years.’

But after Masked Singer star Davina, 58, told her, ‘You owe it to yourself to wake up every morning and put on the ‘boss’ underwear’, Trinny posed online in sensual black lingerie.

For Paul’s girl, happiness is… a second-hand outfit

Sir Paul McCartney is believed to be a billionaire and his ex-wife Heather Mills has an estimated fortune of more than £20million – yet she claims their child dresses in second-hand clothes.

The Beatles star, 83, and Heather have a daughter Beatrice, 22, from their six-year marriage.

In a television interviewer, Xian Horn tells Heather, 58: ‘Everything I’m wearing right now is

second-hand.’ Then Sir Paul’s ex-wife replies: ‘Brilliant! You should be so proud of that. That’s all my kid wears. All the new generation, they’re buying everything from second-hand shops.’

She adds: ‘The only thing is, if you do go to the Royal Opera House and turn up in ripped jeans and a T-shirt that they got from the funeral parlour, then sometimes you say, ‘You could have washed that first!’ But, apart from that, it’s fantastic.’

Heather was so angry at only getting £24million from Sir Paul when they divorced that she poured a jug of water over his lawyer, Baroness Shackleton, in court.

Tall Scousers are music to Roxie’s ears

Roxie Nafousi, who has been out with pop superstar Harry Styles and millionaire artist Damien Hirst, is looking for love again – and has made a list of her requirements in a man.

Form an orderly queue, lanky Liverpudlians…

Gordon Brown’s return to No10 as Sir Keir Starmer’s special envoy for global finance fails to impress Simon Danczuk, the former Labour MP for Rochdale. It was on the campaign trail there that Brown was recorded calling life-long Labour voter Gillian Duffy a ‘bigoted woman’.

Danczuk, 59, says: ‘I’d been knocking doors for three years to win the seat and Brown arrives. I’d just given up smoking, but after this I drove to the local Co-op and bought 20 Marlboro Lights.’

Instead of paying Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to do nothing at Sandringham, perhaps King Charles could put his brother to work. And this job would be ideal: the King’s helicopter flight is advertising for a pilot.

Andrew served as a helicopter pilot during the Falklands War, bravely flying decoy missions. The job ad specifies ‘a skilled and professional helicopter pilot in command’. The salary is £90,000 – and Andrew would even receive a 20 per cent discount at the royal gift shops, so he could buy a few more teddy bears for his collection.

Veteran film star Bill Nighy admits to whiling away the hours watching old flames on screen when working away from home.

‘The only time I watch TV is when I’m on a job and I’m in a hotel room,’ explains the actor, 76. ‘I spend half my life in hotel rooms.’

The boyfriend of Brideshead Revisited star Diana Quick for 26 years until 2008, and romantically linked to his pal Anna Wintour only last year, Nighy cheekily adds: ‘The only things I ever really watch are things with somebody I know in it. They’re usually reruns of old English programmes and I just see if there’s anyone I slept with or anybody I knew in the old days.’
