Stacey Solomon belts out karaoke in a Miami bar after skipping BAFTAs

Stacey Solomon belted out songs on karaoke with Olivia Attwood and Rochelle Humes in a Miami bar on Sunday after skipping this year’s BAFTA Television Awards.

Sharing a series of raucous clips to Instagram from a brand trip, the TV personality, 36, rapped classic Shaggy hit, It Wasn’t Me, before hopping on to the bar for a Coyote Ugly moment to sing Can’t Fight the Moonlight.

Stacey snubbed the BAFTAs after sparking backlash when she shared a furious rant over losing during last year’s ceremony.

And after swapping London in favour of sunnier climes, she jetted off to the US for a brand trip with Space NK.

Stacey uploaded a fun insight into their night out to her Story and wrote: ‘I’m sorry but when you’re in America with the girliest of girls girls it’s only right you do Coyote Ugly on the bar.’

Alongside Olivia, who also took the opportunity to jump on the bar, she was also joined by her sister Jemma and Perrie Sian.

They were some of several big names missing the red carpet this year, as others have also been among those on the lavish US break.

Stacey has been documenting her time in Miami on Instagram, having taken along her two oldest sons, and her sister Jemma, and recently shared a hilarious video of herself showing off her new waterproof trainers.

Last year, she was left disappointed when her show Sort Your Life Out lost out on the Factual Entertainment prize at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards.

After the loss, Stacey let rip at the BAFTA judges in an online rant as she said her team were ‘robbed’ of the accolade, prompting backlash from fans who branded her a ‘bad loser’.

During last year’s BAFTAs, Stacey graced the red carpet with her husband Joe Swash, but sparked backlash after the ceremony when her show lost out on a coveted gong.

Her show Sort Your Life Out was nominated for the Factual Entertainment BAFTA but lost out to Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder’s show, Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.

Stacey had shared a video expressing her frustration over her BAFTAs loss and letting loose at the award show’s bosses.

‘We didn’t win a BAFTA. And I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but, I’ll be honest, I’m devastated,’ she shared.

Laughing at her reaction, she continued: ‘I’m not handling it very well, I’m not taking it very gracefully – I’m devastated! I’m devastated for our whole team, like I’m so gutted for our team.

‘Everyone got dressed up and was really hopeful, I think because they work so hard. It’s not an easy show to make, Sort Your Life Out and the team work so hard to make it happen and they so deserve the BAFTA.

‘The Sort Your Life Out team deserved a BAFTA and I’m devastated. I’m not saying that everyone else didn’t deserve their BAFTAs, they absolutely did.

‘People think making TV is really easy and it’s not, so everyone deserves recognition. But I’m just gutted for my whole Sort Your Life Out family because I feel like they deserved a BAFTA. I’m gonna say it – I’m gutted!’

Going on to reveal what it takes to make their show, she went on: ‘We’ll pack up a house and within seven days that house is packed up, into vans, over to a warehouse, laid out on the floor, we go through it meticulously, we make sure it doesn’t just get chucked away.

‘We donate, we recycle, we resell things. We put it all back and try and put it in systems to help families move forward…’

She also gave a shout out to the families who give up their time and open their homes to TV audiences, especially when they run the risk of being judged.

A fuming Stacey concluded: ‘I’m gutted!’ before praising her whole team and noting they planned to give it their all for series six.

Fans then claimed Stacey was starting to ‘show her true colours’ compared to her usual wholesome demeanor and told the BBC presenter to ‘grow up’ and that she has ‘got too big for her boots’.

They wrote: ‘She’s not as wholesome as she comes across; It’s called life Stacey so get a grip; Be thankful for where you are and remind yourself where you came from. Stop whinging;

‘Grow up. Don’t be a bad loser. Others were better. You smile and shut up; 1st world problems of the 1%;

‘Showing her true colours – worthy of being cancelled; Get real Stace. Just because YOU want it doesn’t mean you deserve it; Getting too big for her boots me thinks’;

‘It’s ok to be disappointed for the team, but thinking you should have won a BAFTA because the show you make is hard work is just ludicrous. You took the job. I’m sure get paid handsomely for it. A lot of truly hardworking people don’t get well paid and don’t expect an award, or even think they deserve one.’

However not everyone agreed and others believed Stacey was being ‘refreshingly honest’ and was simply just ‘disappointed for her team’.
