Astronaut said fragments resembled ‘fireworks’ in Trump UFO files

The Department of War released long-awaited UFO files to the public on Friday, detailing several hundred unseen photographs and videos of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

Among the trove of the first batch of declassified documents, uploaded to the agency’s website, was a transcript of a conversation between Apollo 17 astronauts detailing mysterious bright fragments floating near their spaceship during their 1972 mission.

‘Now we’ve got a few very bright particles or fragments or something that go drifting by as we maneuver,’ one operator told mission control.

Another replied: ‘There’s a whole bunch of big ones on my window down there – just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window.’

Donald Trump celebrated the release of the files in a Truth Social post, saying that he ordered the release of information tied to ‘alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).’ ‘GOD BLESS AMERICA!’ the President added.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said that the administration was committed to bringing ‘unprecedented transparency’ to the government’s understanding of UAPs.

Apollo 17 astronaut compared UAP fragments to ‘Fourth of July fireworks’

The Trump administration on Friday released its long-awaited UFO files, publishing hundreds of previously unseen videos, photographs and records tied to Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

The documents were uploaded to the Department of War’s website months after President Donald Trump ordered Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to declassify government records related to UFOs and alleged extraterrestrial activity.

Among the most striking materials were images and transcripts linked to NASA’s Apollo 12 and Apollo 17 moon missions. One photo taken from the lunar surface appears to show three unexplained dots hovering in the dark sky above the moon.

An Apollo 17 mission transcript also detailed astronauts discussing mysterious objects drifting near the spacecraft during flight.

‘Now we’ve got a few very bright particles or fragments or something that go drifting by as we maneuver,’ one operator told mission control.

Another replied: ‘There’s a whole bunch of big ones on my window down there – just bright. It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window.’

Congressmembers celebrate UFO files release

Several members of Congress praised the Trump administration for releasing the UFO files.

‘This is a great first step. Additional releases are expected in the coming weeks. A second tranche of documents, including additional requested video footage, is anticipated within approximately 30 days. Further records, videos, imagery, and investigative materials will continue to be released on a rolling basis,’ Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna wrote on X.

‘Thank you @realDonaldTrump for keeping your word to me on #UFO #UAP transparency. This is a great start,’ Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett wrote.

‘I’m grateful to the bipartisan group of members that have been pushing for this for the last several years. The American people have a right to know. New photos, videos and documents. We need #disclosure and we need it now,’ Florida Representative Jared Moskowitz wrote.

‘Thank you @realDonaldTrump for doing what no other president has been willing or capable of doing. This is a historic first step in what I trust will be just one of many. Thank you for taking on the swamp to make this release happen. You are the president of the people,’ Missouri Representative Eric Burlison wrote.

DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard praises UFO files release

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard praised the release of the UFO files.

‘The American people have long sought transparency about the government’s knowledge of unidentified aerial phenomena,’ she wrote on X.

‘Under President Trump’s leadership, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is actively coordinating the Intelligence Community’s declassification efforts with the Department of War to ensure a careful, comprehensive, and unprecedented review of our holdings to provide the American people with maximum transparency.

‘Today’s release is the first in what will be an ongoing joint declassification and release effort.’

Trump is ‘focused on providing maximum transparency to the public’ says Department of War

The Department of War released a statement on Friday after unsealing hundreds of photo and video evidence of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) to the general public.

‘While past administrations sought to discredit or dissuade the American people, President Trump is focused on providing maximum transparency to the public, who can ultimately make up their own minds about the information contained in these files,’ the agency’s press release said.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth added that:

‘The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena.’

‘These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves. This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency,’ he said.

White House officials left UFO hard drive on desk, reporter says

Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy claimed that the White House left a hard drive with unseen footage of UFOs on his desk overnight.

‘It say’s AARO files, that is All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office,’ Doocy said on Friday.

One of the videos showed an object over the skies of the UAE in June 2024.

‘It is described as an inverted tear drop with a vertical linear trailing mass suspended below. The war department can’t for sure say what it is,’ Doocy said.

The next video is from over the skies of Iraq in December of 2022. The footage showed an object moving from the bottom left to top right of the screen.

‘All CENTCOM can describe this as is an area of contrast. It is also officially listed as an unresolved UAP report,’ Doocy said.

A third video showed a small and circular UAP flying near the surface of the ocean towards land over the skies of Greece in October 2023.

Marjorie Taylor Greene blast UFO files dump as ‘propaganda’ distraction

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized the Trump administration for releasing new files on UFOs, calling it a ‘propaganda’ distraction.

‘I really don’t care about the UFO files. I just don’t,’ she wrote on X.

‘I’m so sick of the “look at the shiny object” propaganda while they wage foreign wars, let rapist and pedophiles run free, and ruin the value of our dollar.

‘Unless they roll out live aliens and test demo UFOs or actually admit what we know this really is then I have way better things to do on this Friday.’
