Lucinda Strafford’s mum ‘linked to account trolling Love Island stars’

Lucinda Strafford’s mother has been linked to an Instagram account which has sent cruel taunts to her Love Island co-stars, according to reports.

Lucinda, 26, starred in the recent Love Island All Stars and was at the centre of a bullying row which sparked 11,000 Ofcom complaints.

The controversy involved fellow Islanders Belle Hassan, Samie Elishi and Jessy Potts, who were branded ‘mean girls’ by viewers for their perceived ‘ganging up’ on Lucinda.

Now, The Sun claims Lucinda’s mother, Nancy left horrible comments on some of the girls’ profiles under an anonymous ghost social media account called ‘Linda’.

The trolling is said to have been as recent as two weeks ago.

The publication reports the burner account left the comment: ‘she’s a two-faced nasty girl, end off’ under a video of Jessy, and made the jibe: ‘Oh God, she is horrible… we saw enough… too late to cry now… you were simply horrible.’

They also claimed the comment: ‘Oh, who cares, Belle’ was left under a video where Belle spoke of her mental health struggles.

The Sun reports eagle-eyed fans linked the account to Nancy after an old social media edit of Lucinda had the tag of Nancy Strafford’s profile in the caption. When clicked, it led to ‘Linda’.

The account has now been deleted but insiders told the publication Nancy’s alleged actions are the ‘height of hypocrisy’, after she defended her daughter during the bullying row on the show.

She wrote at the time: ‘That was a disgusting piece of TV. The production team should be ashamed of themselves. Lucinda didn’t deserve to be violated like that… disgusting. What a horrid crowd of people. I hope she walks out and as for all the haters.. what a very sad world you live in.’

One insider, who claimed they had been trolled by the account Linda, said: ‘Seeing some of the things she has messaged privately leaves you quite shocked and in disbelief.

‘People have borne the brunt of Nancy’s terror. It’s the height of hypocrisy given how furiously she defended Lucinda against online bullies during Love Island All Stars.

‘I received a consistent stream of comments and messages from Nancy’s personal account. This wasn’t limited to my own posts – it also extended to friends of mine who had no connection to her.

‘Some of the language used was inappropriate and, at times, included remarks I considered to be homophobic.’

Daily Mail has contacted Lucinda’s representative for comment.

Lucinda is the first female contestant to appear in four different iterations of the Love Island franchise: the original UK series (2021), Love Island Australia (2023), Love Island Games (2025), and Love Island: All Stars (2026).

The reality star finished in fourth place on All Stars alongside her partner, Sean Stone.
