A-list star baffles Met Gala fans in bizarre outfit… can you guess?

The Met Gala is known for its out-of-the-box displays on fashion’s biggest night, but one attendee took the concept to a whole new level.

Hot on the heels of Nicole Kidman, Lauren Sanchez and Gigi Hadid dazzling on the red carpet, one of the world’s most famous supermodels ensured all attention shifted firmly to her arrival.

With this year’s theme, Costume Art, and the dress code, Fashion is Art, leaving plenty of room for interpretation, the 52-year-old TV personality leaned all the way in, arriving in a look that could only be described as a living statue.

Wrapped in sculptural, stone-like detailing, she appeared to channel both the Statue of Liberty and a classical Greek figure in her striking ensemble.

The dramatic transformation immediately drew comparisons to the elaborate costumes from her famously over-the-top Halloween parties.

But can you guess the mystery Met Gala attendee?

If you said Heidi Klum, you’re clearly a fashion insider.

And fans were quick to react on social media, with one follower commenting: ‘Heidi Klum found a second Halloween in the Met Gala’.

Another wrote: ‘She is on theme and she can repeat this for her Halloween party.’

A third added: ‘I love how she brings Halloween spirit to everything.’

But not everyone was impressed, with one critic tweeting: ‘This is genuinely disturbing.’

Another simply said: ‘I can’t move on from this.’

Klum is no stranger to the Met Gala, having attended several over the years, including 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2019, often opting for bold, fashion-forward looks that match the event’s theatrical spirit.

She is, however, even more famously known for her Halloween parties, where she regularly transforms into elaborate, almost unrecognizable characters.

Over the years, those events have become nearly as talked-about as the Met Gala itself.

‘The title “Costume Art” refers to the history of the Costume Institute,’ Andrew Bolton, the Costume Institute’s curator, said at a recent press conference.

Bolton, who selects the theme, said fashion has ‘the status of art because of, and not in spite of, its relation to the body’.

The 2026 Met Gala had a host committee that included committee co-chairs Anthony Vaccarello and Zoe Kravitz, along with members Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Angela Bassett, Gwendoline Christie, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor and more.

Costume Art will run from May 10 through January 10 next year, following the Met Gala on May 4.

The event is a huge money-maker for the museum and provides the Costume Institute with its main source of funding.

The 2026 event is the first since Anna Wintour technically stepped back from one of her famed roles at Vogue.

Wintour announced she was stepping down as the editor-in-chief of American Vogue after 37 years in June last year.

The global director for Vogue and global chief content officer at Conde Nast hired Chloe Malle as the new head of editorial content at Vogue.

Wintour has famously been incredibly hands-on with the Met Gala over the years, and is credited with making it the splashy A-list affair it has become, beloved by celebrities such as Rihanna, the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Zendaya and more.

Last year, many stars did not attend the Met Gala, and some people thought it was to avoid making a faux pas because of the theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, which was centered around the political and aesthetic constructs of Black dandyism.
