The Spice Girls are reportedly in talks for an Abba-style hologram show to mark their 30th anniversary – after their reunion tour was axed.
Bandmates Mel B, Geri Horner, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham had been in talks for a series of concerts to celebrate three decades since the release of their debut single Wannabe.
However, it was reported last month that the group couldn’t come to an agreement on a reunion.
But now, instead, they could be about to follow in the footsteps of the ABBA Voyage set up which was launched in 2022 and turned the band into digital avatars.
The Sun reports Victoria said on SiriusXM radio this week: ‘I think it would be a great idea.
‘The principle of it would be great. We were talking about it at dinner, but we’ll see.’
It had previously been rumoured that discussions were ongoing about it with their former manager Simon Fuller.

A source told the publication: ‘Simon is desperate to have one last hurrah with the Spice Girls and this is his latest idea.
‘He was the person who came up with the original idea for Abba and their digital show and he thinks this model could work perfectly for the group.
‘Simon knows this plan would mean the band would be making money in their sleep and it would open up their music to a whole new generation.’
Victoria last performed with the band during the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony and before that she joined the band on their 2007-08 world tour.
Geri left the band in 1998 in the middle of their world tour and on Mel B’s birthday.
Geri’s departure from the band hit headlines across the world and the group went on hiatus two years later.
The Spice Girls shot to fame in 1996 when their debut single Wannabe reached number one in 37 countries.
The girl group reached the top of the UK charts nine times and had two number one albums. When Geri left the band, she launched a solo career and enjoyed four number one singles in the UK.

Mel B and Mel C send fans wild with mini Spice Girls reunion as they perform band’s hits on stage for the first time since 2019
In March it was reported that plans for a reunion tour for the anniversary had been scrapped.
It came a few weeks after it was claimed that a Netflix project to celebrate the anniversary had also been cancelled, with sources claiming Geri in particular had been dragging her heels on whether to sign on.
Mel C soon after confirmed that there was no reunion in the works, as she told The Smallzy Show on KIIS Radio: ‘No, there is no reunion. We are communicating all the time. We want to do something – who knows when.
‘But I still feel very optimistic and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future.’
So far only a collectible coin from the Royal Mint has been announced to mark the anniversary.
Daily Mail contacted a representative for The Spice Girls for comment.
