Police said Sunday night they did not have details about whether the party was tied to a specific celebration.
But, Ward said, most attendees were believed to be young adults or older teenagers, and officials do not believe any children were present at the time of the shooting.
Videos posted online showed a large crowd of people dancing under the pavilion where the shooting was believed to have taken place.
One person who appeared to be standing next to the blood-streaked white sedan also appeared to be featured in the poster for the event.
Police said they did not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public at this time.
‘We are going to be investigating into tomorrow,’ Ward said.
In the meantime, a reunification center has been set up at a local Walmart in the town north of Oklahoma City, and next of kin notifications have been made for all known victims.
