At least 10 people have been injured during a shooting at a ‘Sunday Funday’ event near Arcadia Lake in Oklahoma on Sunday as emergency services swarmed the area.
A massive multi-agency response – including the Oklahoma City Police, Edmond Police, Edmond Fire Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol – rushed to the scene of a party at Lake Arcadia at around 9 pm after reports of shots fired.
When they arrived, first responders discovered a bloodbath. At least 10 people needed to be transported to local hospitals. Others had driven themselves, with one victim driving to a nearby gas station to get help.
‘This is obviously a very terrifying situation,’ the spokeswoman, Emily Ward, said, adding: ‘We are working extremely very hard to find the suspects.’
The victims were said to be in various conditions, according to preliminary information.
As of early Monday morning there were no suspects in custody, but officers are reviewing footage from Flock license plate reader cameras in an effort to identify those responsible.
It is believed two men wearing ski masks opened fire at the party, Fox 25 reports.
Police had earlier told KFOR that the shots fired calls likely originated from the Caddo Pavilion at the campground.

Witnesses to the bloodshed described how several people they know had been shot.
One woman told a reporter her ‘cousin and sister were shot’. Another also said he was shot in the leg but was doing OK.
‘It’s very sad to see someone that you know or that you love, just – it’s a very scary, hard thing,’ one witness told KTWV.

Police said Sunday night they did not have details about the nature of the party, such as whether it was tied to a specific celebration.
But, Ward said, most attendees were believed to be young adults or older teenagers, and officials do not believe any children were present at the time of the shooting.
Videos posted online showed a large crowd of people dancing under the pavilion where the shooting was believed to have taken place.
One person who appeared to be standing next to the blood-streaked white sedan also appeared to be featured in the poster for the event.
No suspects were in custody Sunday night as authorities continued to speak to witnesses.
But police said they not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public at this time.
‘We are going to be investigating in and on into tomorrow,’ Ward said.
In the meantime, a reunification center has been set up at a local Walmart in the town north of Oklahoma City, and next of kin notifications have been made for all known victims.
