A man was taken into custody by Secret Service agents at Donald Trump’s Florida golf course – just a week after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was targeted by a gunman.
Footage, posted on social media on Saturday, showed the man being detained by officers at a security checkpoint at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami.
He was arrested after allegedly defying orders and ‘getting physical’ with a Secret Service agent, the New York Post reported.
It is claimed the man was later taken to a correctional center in Miami and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting without violence.
The President was not at the course at the time of the incident. Trump National Doral is currently hosting the Cadillac Championship, a PGA Tour event featuring the likes of Scottie Scheffler.
But the Secret Service suggested the arrest would not stop Trump from heading to his course, where a gold statue of the president was recently unveiled.

Cole Allen, 31, is accused of opening fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and targeting President Trump
Cole was ‘tackled to the ground’ and handcuffed by law enforcement after he allegedly broke through a security checkpoint
‘At no point did this situation impact the established security posture for any upcoming visits to Trump National Doral Golf Club by Secret Service protectees,’ a Secret Service Miami spokesperson told The Post.
The incident comes a week after Cole Thomas Allen, 31, allegedly attempted to storm the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington.
Trump and many top officials were among the guests at the event, with footage showing the alleged gunman sprinting at agents and trying to burst through security, before the president and First Lady Melania Trump were hastily evacuated.
Allen faces major federal charges including the attempted assassination of President Trump. That charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The Justice Department has accused Allen, 31, of attempting to attack the dinner – and target Trump and administration officials – by running through a Secret Service checkpoint with a shotgun, handgun, and knives.
Allen allegedly exchanged gunfire with Secret Service, and a Secret Service agent was shot in the chest but was saved by a ballistic vest, escaping with only minor injuries.
The suspect is also facing a charge of transportation of a firearm in interstate commerce with intent to commit a felony. The third charge is using a firearm during a crime of violence, carrying a minimum of 10 years, as well as the possibility of life imprisonment if prosecutors can prove the weapon was discharged.
The 15ft-tall statue at Trump Doral depicts the president throwing his fist into the air – as he did in the moments following the July 2024 assassination attempt on his life in Pennsylvania.
