BGT in hysterics as Simon Cowell is sprayed with silly string

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were left in hysterics after judge Simon Cowell was sprayed with silly string during Saturday’s live semi-final.

The music mogul, 66, was left unable to see through his glasses after being covered head to toe by the children at Braunstone Community Primary School.

The school ravers performed an energetic routine before ending with a colourful finale and a never ending amount of silly string.

Luckily Simon saw the funny side and laughed: ‘You’ve made me look really stupid’ before praising the dancers and their inspiring teacher.

Taking to X viewers laughed: ‘Simon with a full face of silly string’, ‘LMAOOO Simon’, ‘Hahah Simon Cowell got silly string sprayed on him’, ‘State of Simon!’.

Later in the show Alesha pressed her Golden Buzzer to send dance group LMA straight through to the final.

She revealed she’d chosen to send them through after previously wanting to give them her Golden Buzzer during the auditions, but had unfortunately already used it on another act.

Last week Britain’s Got Talent viewers complained after KSI awarded a Golden Buzzer to an ‘immature and inappropriate’ act.

Throughout the series, eight acts had already received Golden Buzzers, securing their place in the live shows.

However, last week, the ninth and final buzzer of the series was pressed – with fans left unimpressed.

The Golden Buzzer was awarded to Mr Cherry, a ‘strongman’ act from Japan.

His unusual act began with him opening a tightly sealed jar of pickles before going on to crush cans by sitting on them and open wine bottles using his backside.

Despite receiving a red buzzer from Simon Cowell, KSI awarded him the Golden Buzzer after the performance.

‘I don’t know about you but I think that was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen,’ KSI told him.

Taking to X viewers laughed: 'Simon with a full face of silly string', 'LMAOOO Simon', 'Hahah Simon Cowell got silly string sprayed on him', 'State of Simon!'

Fans were less impressed, with one saying: ‘Why the hell did they give Mr Cherry the golden buzzer?! Ffs #BGT’,

‘#BGT this is great. BUT IT’S NOT FOR KIDS TO BE WATCHING’.

In a behind the scenes video KSI explained why he pressed the golden buzzer for Mr Cherry.

‘Because I’ve seen nothing like it. Incredible,’ he said.

The other judges were not as keen on Mr Cherry, including Simon Cowell who gave him a red buzzer.

Mr Cherry had something to say after his performance: ‘KSI thank you Cherry much. Keep calm and Cherry on.’
