Thug attacks pensioner, 77, with a MACHETE after he is stabbed in car

This is the moment a pensioner was attacked by a thug wielding a machete in broad daylight on a Glasgow street.

Footage shows the violent knifeman hacking at a 77-year-old man who is understood to have been stabbed inside the black Mercedes car.

Emergency crews, including armed police and a dog unit, rushed to Auckland Wynd in Dalmarnock on Tuesday afternoon after reports of a serious assault within a vehicle on the street.

The attacker, dressed in black, attempts to open the boot of the car to retrieve a number of bin bags stored in the motor.

The footage shows the attacker pushing the man away while he wields the weapon in his hand.

The pensioner tries to avoid the slashes from the machete attacker as the knifeman grabs one of the bags from the boot and throws it to the ground.

The elderly man was rushed to the hospital for treatment after being found seriously injured at the scene.

Police Scotland is now searching for the attacker and has seized the car.
