Revealed: Greenwood’s transfer fee – and how Man Utd could cash in

Manchester United’s summer transfer kitty could be boosted by a sell-on clause for one of their former players.

The Red Devils are set to invest heavily in the off-season as they look to bolster their squad ahead of a likely return to the Champions League in 2026-27.

And their funds are reportedly set to increase thanks to the uncertain future of Mason Greenwood at Marseille.

The forward has been a long-term target of Juventus, and according to reports in Italy they are set to swoop in for him this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marseille may be forced to sell Greenwood for financial reasons if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Marseille currently sit sixth in Ligue 1 on 53 points – four behind third-placed Lyon and fourth-placed Lille. The top three teams in Ligue 1 are guaranteed Champions League football next term, while fourth sees a route to the play-offs.
