Lily Allen spends a whopping $50K CASH on diamond jewellery

Lily Allen splashed $50,000 cash on diamond jewellery during a shopping spree in Atlanta this week, after previously revealing she was seeking treatment for her spending addiction.

The songstress, 40, who is currently touring the US following the release of her West End Girl album, visited Ice Box jewellers just hours ahead of taking to the stage.

In a clip shared by the store to Instagram Lily paid for her pricey purchases with huge wads of cash that she was carrying in her $14,000 Hermès Birkin handbag.

While shielding her eyes behind $500 YSL shades, the hitmaker bought a $15,000 tennis bracelet, $25,000 earrings as well as a mystery $20,000 gift for a pal.

The salesman revealed her total was $54,450 with taxes, but he was happy to accept $50,000 due to that being the amount the singer was carrying in cash.

They captioned the post: ‘@lilyallen spends $50,000 cash @icebox on diamonds before her Atlanta show, for the sold out “West End Girl” tour!’.

Lily’s shopping trip comes several months after she revealed she was undergoing therapy for ‘shopping like an insane person’ to celebrate the success of her latest album, West End Girl.

She has been splashing the cash, ‘convinced she is a billionaire’, but revealed last year in December that she was receiving treatment for her spending addiction. You can read the full story here.

The singer told how she had been in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for the past four months due to her spending habits.

According to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, EMDR helps people to recover from past experiences that are affecting their mental health and wellbeing.

Using side-to-side eye movements combined with talk therapy, it is designed to help process negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations associated with traumatic memories that appear stuck and can contribute to a range of issues.

The smash hit record marked Lily’s return to music after seven years and was recorded in just ten days, in the wake of her devastating split from ex-husband David Harbour in December 2024 after she allegedly discovered his cheating.

The lyrics see her appearing to suggest the couple had an open arrangement in regards to sex, as long as it was discreet, with paid strangers and not based on emotional connection, rules the Stranger Things actor appeared to flout.

In a recent interview, ahead of her festival return at next month’s Mighty Hoopla, Lily explained that speaking about non monogamous relationships within the heterosexual community are still ‘relatively new’.

She said: ‘In the LGBTQIA+ community they’ve existed for much longer. What we don’t often see reflected in pop culture, though, is the emotional fallout of those arrangements’

‘We tend to hear the success stories — the positive, well-packaged versions — and that’s great for the people they work for’.

‘But there are also people on the other side of it, who don’t feel comfortable or feel pulled into something they didn’t choose’.

She went on to tell Mighty Hoopla’s magazine Pop Mess: ‘I think this album resonated because it gives a voice to that experience, which isn’t talked about nearly enough.’

Released without prior notice and described as a ‘brutal, tell-all masterpiece’, the LP laid bare the complexities of their four-year marriage across 14 searingly honest tracks.

The new album was nominated in three categories at the 2026 BRITs but unfortunately she didn’t walk away with any wins during the ceremony.
