Katy Perry puts her credit card in Trevi Fountain for ‘good luck’

Katy Perry is trying to ensure some good luck comes her way.

The Dark Horse hitmaker, 41, was pictured putting her credit card in the iconic Trevi Fountain while visiting Rome, Italy, in a video shared to her Instagram on Sunday.

The clip started out with Perry standing in front of the fountain in a grey hoodie and singing ‘someone give me a penny.’

‘Y’all, I told you in “Save as Draft” that I don’t f**k with change,’ she went on to say in the video, referring to her Witness song, which features the line: ‘I don’t f**k with change, but lately, I’ve been flipping coins a lot.’

The singer – who is being investigated by Australian police following sexual assault allegations made by actress Ruby Rose, 40, which Perry has vehemently denied – added that she felt the need to put something in the Trevi fountain ‘for good luck.’

She then placed her credit card in for a moment, but grabbed it before it could float away.

Lacking the loose change typically tossed by tourists, the singer instead opted for putting in her credit card

'Just Rome'ing around' she captioned her post, which featured a number of photos and videos from her trip

The fountain is one of Rome’s most popular landmarks. It was completed in 1762 and draws more than 1,000 people every hour, with many tossing coins for luck.

‘Just Rome’ing around,’ Perry captioned her post, which featured a number of photos and videos from her trip.

Perry – who’s currently dating former Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, 54 – performed a private concert on Saturday at La Nuvola, and shared a clip of herself on stage.

She showed off her toned arms and midriff in a glittering bandeau top and black silk pants. Her hair was slicked back into a chic bun.

The video featured the star singing her 2010 hit, The One That Got Away.

Perry also shared a clip of herself in front of St. Peter’s Basilica, located in St. Peter’s Square within Vatican City.

The mom-of-one looked sensational in a chic black and white dress as she took in the sights.

At one point she playfully sang ‘Pope Leo, hallelujah’ in honor of the first American pontiff.

Her latest post comes four days after reports that Australian police are now investigating the sexual assault allegations Rose made against the pop star.

The actress claimed Perry sexually assaulted her in 2010 while they went out together at the nightclub Spice Market in the Melbourne CBD.

Perry has denied the allegations through her representative, while Victoria Police have begun investigating the incident after Rose filed a complaint.

‘Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) detectives are investigating a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010,’ a spokesman for the force told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

‘Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s CBD.

‘As the investigation remains ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage.’

It comes following reports that Perry is being investigated by Australian police following sexual assault allegations made by actress Ruby Rose, 40, which Perry has vehemently denied; Rose pictured in 2017

The singer hit back at Rose’s allegations, denying she had sexually assaulted the Orange Is The New Black star, branding the claims ‘dangerous and reckless lies’.

Rose claimed in a social media post that the incident with the singer took place at the Melbourne nightclub when she was in her twenties.

In a statement, a representative for Perry said: ‘The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies.’

‘Ms Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.’
