Trooping the Colour is one of the most significant events in the royal calendar.

Held in honour of the monarch’s official birthday, it brings senior members of the Royal Family together for a spectacular procession down The Mall, culminating in the much-anticipated Buckingham Palace balcony appearance.

All eyes were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Princess of Wales and her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, in their open-top carriage – and Kate did not disappoint.

She looked radiant in an exquisite aquamarine coat dress by Catherine Walker, paired with a perfectly matching Juliette Botterill hat.

Her outfit appeared to be a touching nod to Princess Diana, who wore a strikingly similar ensemble at the event during the 1990s.

With Catherine Walker being one of Diana’s favourite designers, the choice further deepened Kate’s subtle tribute to her late mother-in-law.

To accessorise, she selected Gianvito Rossi suede court shoes, Queen Elizabeth’s Bahrain Pearl and Diamond earrings and the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch.

Princess Charlotte also captured hearts, mirroring her mother’s elegance in a beautifully coordinated dress and Mary Jane shoes from Papouelli.

The young princess also wore the historic Diamond Horseshoe Brooch, which was a gift from Queen Elizabeth.

Inspired by this vibrant celebration of colour and style, we’ve scoured the high street for summer-ready outfits that promise to make an equally stunning impression.
