Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met heroes of the Bondi massacre and were mobbed by crowds on the fourth day of their whirlwind Australian tour.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were all smiles as they touched down in Sydney on Thursday night before being whisked into a waiting car to be taken to the InterContinental Sydney in Coogee.
Meghan started the day with a short stroll along the Tamarama to Bronte coastal walk. before returning to the hotel. She was surrounded by NSW Police protection, which is funded by Australian taxpayers.
She and Harry then attended the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club to meet with Bondi massacre first responders.
The couple were taken on a cruise around Sydney Harbour with Invictus Australia, and tonight, will attend a Super Rugby match between NSW Waratahs and Moana Pasifika at Allianz Stadium.
Meghan will also appear at the women-only ‘Her Best Life’ retreat at the InterContinental Sydney.
The hundreds of guests arriving at the retreat were subject to strict security protocols.
Women dressed to the nines were asked to stand with their legs and arms wide apart as security officers scanned their bodies with a metal detector wand.
Guests started arriving from 3pm, while Jackie ‘O’ Henderson made a fashionably late appearance just before 4.30pm.
From 5pm, guests will attend the gala dinner where VIP members who forked out $3,199 will be able to get a group shot with Meghan herself.
