Floyd Mayweather is sued AGAIN over allegations of unpaid bills

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is being sued once again – this time for allegedly failing to pay a six-figure bill for a private jet to the Caribbean.

That lawsuit, filed Friday in Los Angeles County and obtained by The Daily Mail, accuses Mayweather, his ‘jewelry consultant’ friend Jona Rechnitz and others of stiffing Jet Set Aircraft for a $105,690 charter flight to Turks and Caicos back in September.

It’s just the latest in a series of legal challenges for Mayweather, who is currently eyeing comeback fights against Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao. The undefeated boxing legend known as ‘Money’ was sued three times in February over similar allegations of unpaid rent and jewelry bills totaling millions of dollars.

One lawsuit, which also named Rechnitz as a defendant, claimed the pair neglected to pay a $4 million settlement after a dispute with a Florida jeweler.

Known as a jeweler to stars such as Mayweather and the Kardashians, Rechnitz pleaded guilty to honest services fraud in 2016 for bribing public and union officials. He later testified against his co-conspirators and was ultimately described as an ‘important and prolific white collar cooperating’ witness by an assistant US attorney.

Friday’s lawsuit in LA County goes on to claim that Rechnitz ‘was aware’ that Mayweather ‘had frequently taken goods and services provided by third parties’ without paying.

Mayweather's close associate Jona Rechnitz has also been named as a dendant in the case

The complaint goes on to say that Mayweather, Rechnitz and other defendants should have known the boxer would once again ‘refuse to pay for such services.’

Jet Set Aircraft, the plaintiff in the lawsuit, is seeking the full cost for the flight, as well as punitive damages in an amount to be proven at trial.

The Daily Mail has sought comment from attorneys representing Mayweather, Rechnitz and Jet Set Aircraft, as well as spokespeople for Mayweather’s companies.

The 49-year-old Mayweather’s legal problems have been mounting in 2026 amid allegations of unpaid bills. Despite earning a reported $1 billion in the ring, the Michigan native and Nevada resident was sued in February by the owner of his luxury New York City condo for $330,000.

He signed a lease in December 2024 but he stopped paying rent in July 2025, according to a lawsuit filed in February.

During the months Mayweather was allegedly skipping rent, he was simultaneously posting pictures of himself on a private jet surrounded by stacks of cash. One post included the caption: ‘I just be minding my business!’

Meanwhile, the IRS has a $7.3 million lien against Mayweather for unpaid taxes, Business Insider reported earlier this week.

Mayweather has reportedly earned over $1 billion over his Hall-of-Fame boxing career

Coincidentally, or not, Mayweather has been finding ways to raise his own cash.

In December, Business Insider reported he sold Air Mayweather, his Gulfstream jet, along with his mansions in Beverly Hills and Miami. And earlier this year, he filed a lawsuit against Showtime claiming the network owed him ‘at least’ $340 million over allegations of fraud.

Paramount, which owns Showtime, has dismissed the lawsuit as ‘baseless.’

And then there are his upcoming plans inside the ring, where Mayweather is set to fight 59-year-old Tyson in an exhibition before an official bout against his 47-year-old former rival, Pacquiao.

Mayweather won their 2015 bout by unanimous decision, although Pacquiao was clearly bothered by a torn rotator cuff and later underwent shoulder surgery following the uninspiring defeat.

Despite fan disappointment, the bout still generated a reported $600 million.
