Predictor picks: Find out who our expert is backing this weekend

The Premier League is back… and so is the Daily Mail’s Predictor!

Predictor is our simple, free-to-play competition where you can win big cash prizes, with £1,000 up for grabs weekly. Simply guess the winner of seven Premier League matches – or play it safe with a draw. There’s also a £5,000 prize if you come first across the whole season.

And yes, we have leagues! You’re able to create or join them, and they can be public or private. Now is your chance to definitively prove you know more than your mates or even more than our experts – play now at dailymail.co.uk/predictor.

This week’s Predictor game kicks off at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to keep their Premier League title bid on track at home to an often unpredictable AFC Bournemouth.

Following on from that there are two Saturday 3pm matches with Everton travelling down to face Brentford as the race for European football heats up in west London, while Burnley host Brighton at Turf Moor.

Elsewhere this weekend there is a Saturday evening kick-off at Anfield where pressure will be ramped up to the max on Liverpool boss Arne Slot if the Reds stumble against Fulham.

On Sunday Roberto De Zerbi takes charge of his first match in charge of Tottenham Hotspur away to Sunderland, while Pep Guardiola and Manchester City head to Chelsea.

Daily Mail Sport’s NATHAN SALT is the expert for you to try to beat this time around in our Predictor game. Here’s his verdict on the upcoming action…

‘Arsenal absolutely look fragile right now but victory over Sporting in the Champions League in midweek will do them all the world of good so I’ll go with a home win over Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kick-off.

EXPERT PREDICTIONS

Nathan Salt is the Daily Mail Sport expert to beat this week

Arsenal v Bournemouth – HOME WIN

Brentford v Everton – DRAW

Burnley v Brighton – AWAY WIN

Liverpool v Fulham – AWAY WIN

Nott’m Forest v Aston Villa – DRAW

Sunderland v Tottenham – AWAY WIN

Chelsea v Man City – AWAY WIN

‘Brentford v Everton has had me changing my mind by the hour, not least given that the Bees are top eight in home home, while David Moyes’ Everton are top four on the road. I’ll go for honours even in a score draw for this one.

‘Brighton will beat Burnley at Turf Moor, while I am also looking at an away win for Fulham at Anfield, piling the pressure on Liverpool boss Arne Slot just days removed from a hammering in Paris against PSG.

‘I’m not taking a single home win from the slate of three games on Sunday. Instead I am backing Roberto De Zerbi to inspire Tottenham Hotspur to an enormous win on the road against Sunderland, while Nottingham Forest pull off a draw against Aston Villa, with both sides lethargic after Europa League quarter-final trips.

‘Finally, Manchester City put Chelsea to the sword in what I believe will be pretty convincing fashion. City are in their groove right now and Chelsea, for as good as reaching the FA Cup semi-finals is for them, are far more often disappointing than they are impressive. Away in for Guardiola and Co.’
