Lorna Luxe devastatingly recalled her late husband John Andrews’ ‘slow and sad death’ in a new interview on Thursday.

The influencer, 43, lost her husband in February to stage four adrenal cancer when he was aged 64, and she recalled his struggle in his final days and how watching him die was ‘the hardest thing I’ve ever done.’

She said: ‘The body fights it — it’s not an easy, relaxing, passing-into-sleep thing.’

Lorna explained how his death was not how she had imagined it to be as ‘every breath became a chore’.

Ever thoughtful, she revealed that she’s been finding ‘the beautiful notes’ he has left her around the house and joked that he ever shared a list of people she’s not allowed to date.

Lorna also took to Instagram and revealed protective John left a list of requests for her, such as requesting that she lock away her 15ct engagement ring at another property so that she wouldn’t be a target for thieves while living alone.

Talking about his sad passing, Lorna told The Times: ‘It wasn’t anything like you see in the films – I’d imagined me nattering away to him until the last minute and him squeezing my hand. But this was slow and sad.

‘When I started to go through John’s phone for his passwords, as he told me to, he’d left these short, sweet, beautiful notes.’

Lorna explained how he had also left a ‘funny’ list of people she wasn’t allowed to date, but wasn’t ‘naming names.’

She previously revealed that he had also requested that she didn’t wear her diamonds, including her engagement ring, as a security measure.

The couple married 16 years ago on her 26th birthday with John upgrading her diamond engagement ring for a 15-carat version to celebrate 15 years together.

In an Instagram update, Lorna added: ‘I’ve put all of my diamonds in a safe deposit. It was as per John’s request; he did leave a list of things that he’d asked me to do, and that was one of them, I think, more just to protect me a little bit.’

‘I’m not going to wear diamonds in London anyway, because I just do not feel safe wearing them in London and for now I’m living on my own.

‘So he was just like, don’t make yourself a target, just whack them in a safety deposit, and you can go and get them for if you want to wear them whenever.

‘Day to day, I’m not gonna be wearing my rock. I’ve not got rid of it or anything, obviously, it’s just somewhere a bit safer than here.’

Lorna and John met when she was 25 and in the midst of her eight-year stint as a Virgin Atlantic air hostess, before marrying in NYC shortly after and going on to live together in Hove, East Sussex, and later Horsham and Warwickshire.

While John previously worked as a banker, following his stage three cancer diagnosis in 2023 and Lorna’s continued success as an influencer, he gave up his job to focus on his health and helping his wife work.

The couple liked to indulge in posh hotel stays and ‘dirty weekends’ in far-flung destinations.

In the last few years prior to his death, Lorna and John said they made sure to live life to the very fullest.

Lorna previously said John had always treated her like a ‘princess’, proven by the lavish gift he got her when they first started dating.

When they first got together, John surprised Lorna by purchasing their first home as a surprise.

The couple previously moved out of their £2.5million home in sleepy Moreton Paddox, famously referred to as Ghost House, in 2025 while extensive renovations took place.
