Which royals will be attending the Easter celebrations this weekend?

As the Royal Family continues to navigate the fallout of the Epstein scandal, speculation has been mounting about the guest list for the Royals’ Easter celebrations this weekend. So, who has made the cut?

Royal fans will be delighted to know that the Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to attend the Easter service at St George’s Chapel on Sunday. 

Prince William and Kate have previously skipped the festivities to spend time with their children, but they are expected to make an appearance this year to support the Firm.

And good thing, too, because the King’s guest list is set to be on the sparse side otherwise. 

In 2024, a 14-strong royal contingent attended the Sunday service, but this year’s line-up will likely look a little different.  

Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have, of course, been cast out of the fold due to their ties to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, while Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have dodged any awkwardness by making ‘alternative plans’.

The King’s permission has been sought and granted for the sisters to stay away from the celebrations while their father is investigated by police over allegations of misconduct in public office. 

But sources are keen to stress that the pair remain a key part of the family and will ‘be seen’ at future celebrations.

However, William is said to have advised other royals not to appear in photographs alongside the pair ‘for the rest of the year’ – so there could be a fair bit of ducking and diving at Ascot if they take up the King’s invitation.

Meanwhile, there is no question of Prince Harry or Meghan Markle joining the Royals for Easter, with the couple expected to remain in Montecito with their two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four.
